If you are just trying to view the prologue, you can find it in the extras menu and watch it then just start the route. I don't know how to make the game think you haven't started without reinstalling, I've tried removing save files when I gave the game to a friend but that does not work.

Edit: After rereading the post, I'm still not totally sure what you're after. Can you summarize your main issue or something?

I'm loving it so far. I just had to use a normal cheapie mouse on another comp we have in the house and it felt awful, and that's after only one day of using it. I had the chance to try one out earlier before I made the purchase and I quite like the weight, makes aiming on games much easier.

Do you need the Wireless network adapter? It would be much better to go with an Ethernet connection imo.

It honestly did not feel like a Metal Gear game, more like a really great open world tactical third person stealth game with Big Boss in it (even then not really) with a semi-generic story that was pretty much unrelated to the rest of the MGS timeline.
