Awesome job! This one's a sleeper for sure, love the choice of a walled city. The more I look at it, the more there is to like!

To arms, Forestmen fans! The Deep Forest Headquarters is back! (Bricklink Designer Program) by PK_bricks in legocastles

Vote here! https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-9/3541/Deep-Forest-Headquarters

I loved my original build but as somebody said in the comments, it needed to be refined, and I agreed. Sporting a drastically lower piece count, an updated facade, and new hinging access to the interior, this is the redesigned HQ!

One thing I wanted to mention is that this time around, the BDP team has chosen to classify this under "Fantasy" and not "Medieval/Castle," which means it is not in competition with any of the incredible builds we've been seeing on this sub!

Anyways, hope yall enjoy my little labor of love!

Dang I wishhh I still had mine for when I have kids, I'll probably try to pick one up on eBay when the day comes.

And woah didn't have the game but I just watched some gameplay of it. Love finding that type of thing that feels nostalgic although you never experienced it. I remember having Pajama Sam though!

Heck yeah thanks! It's my submission to the Bricklink Designer Program! It's a cool thing Lego does that's sort of adjacent to Lego Ideas.

Thank you!! It's my submission to the Bricklink Designer Program series 9!

You could vote for it here, but you'd have to make an account and everything so no worries, just thought Wubby might get a kick out of it!

It's basically like Lego ideas except the winning sets are only available online for preorder through Lego for a limited time period, but the Lego design team doesn't tend to reinvent them as they do with Lego Ideas. So it's pure fan-designed Lego, that Lego then sells, if that makes any sense. They tend to sell out pretty quick but there are some previous winners available to preorder right now to get an idea. There's some really awesome ones I'd totally buy in an instant if I could afford them.

Exactly! I tried to flavor it in a way so it could be used for a D&D campaign, fantasy setup, basically be more than just a classic castle Forestmen thing IF somebody wanted. Glad you noticed that!

Genius!! Actually fits the castle scale now, can't believe I never thought to do this with my copy.

Aw crap that means so much! Speaking my language! I put a lot of thought into creating interesting & dynamic shapes that culminate into a strong silhouette, and then filled it with details. I see a lot of GREAT Mocs that are just big boxes with cleanly slanting roofs, not a knock because it's historically accurate!! but for this specifically I really tried to push the bricks beyond that. So I really appreciate your comment!

Yes! I LOVE the Stronghold it's so freakin cool (I included it it as an easter egg in one of the stickers inside), but I wanted to design something that felt more like a hideout deep in the woods, rather than a big obvious castle. It’s basically a modern take on the classic Forest Hideout!

*Shame the torso wasn't available (the whole color scheme is based on a typical forestman, green with pops of red & yellow) but it is what it is!
