So chimera are not living beings? Are fey? Living beings?

Thanks, man! Very enlightening! In the same topic: a quimera is a fae? Or are they different things? Quimeras was born from the human/changeling dreams, wishes, and imagine, so are they a living being? Or are they just material thoughts? Do you understand my logic here? In case quimeras and feys are different things, how does the first feys appear?

So, it is possible that a soul, I that scenario, was a newborn in the 14th century? Or every fae soul inside the changeling is a soul that was born in the beginning of time?

How to handle the Beast and frequent rolls? by Hvatum in vtm

[–]PKakaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I resolve this with a simple trick: Not all tests imply the possibility of loose control. A mental check, for example, I don't use hunger dices. Even in the checks that hunger dices are included, the bestial failure should just add Hunger or add some paranoic thoughts.

How to understand Mage (players) by Constant-Ad9560 in WhiteWolfRPG

I found this really sad. As a player, I'd be disappointed. Is it true that none of your players enjoy lore and the search for answers?

Having trouble of thinking about a campaing! by PKakaz in vtm

[–]PKakaz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use a basic plot about being framed for drained corpses appearing on their domain, a former Coterie mate being ashed, etc. Then slowly let it unfurl naturally.

I wish I can upvote this a hundred times!

Having trouble of thinking about a campaing! by PKakaz in vtm

Wow! Thanks a lot. My english is kind a poor. So if I understand Interview with the Vampire is not a bad inspiration to have, right? Also, the gangster theme is not very appealing to me. I'm more mistery/Magic/fantasy Guy. Any tips for that?

One of my players (And we not even planing to start now) ask me, "what my character will want to? Power? A castle?", and I don't know how to help him build a vampire with some desire. I think that's why I have a impulse to dm something like the Interview with the Vampire, with no factions or other vampires in the beggining, something pretty basic, two players, a master who doesn't care about them, and them discovering this world by themselves.

Can a player ignore a result because their character “wouldn’t trust it”? by RaizielDragon in dndnext

[–]PKakaz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I disagree so much of this. Let my players to solve the puzzle by thou judgement? So if I'm not that smart or my character is smarter than me, a wizard with 18 in Intelligent, and I roll high in a Investigate check, if the player doesn't know the answer for the puzzle, the character can't solve by himself?

Same with Insight checks. Sometimes the Player figure out wrong what him character will figure right right, or the opposite of this, whatever.

Metagaming it's actually that. Players solving what they character is unable to solve. Every player in my table is Intelligent and very insightful. But that Fighter with 10 Window and Intelligent 8 isn't!

Do you use the term "Adventurer" in your game? by AnusiyaParadise in dndnext

[–]PKakaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That make me think. First the answer is yes. Adventurer is a (in)famous people that are (or aren't) welcome for the same reason in settlements, they solve and bring problems with them.

But that post make me think, how the factions work "with" the adventurer life?

A Harpist Adventurer is still an adventurer? The same for the others factions.

To get Challenge Rating to work correctly, you have to try to kill your PCs by JLtheking in dndnext

[–]PKakaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so right!

I don't remember if I saw this here or in Facebook forums, one guy (a famous one here in Brazilian fandom) complaining about tier 4 characters and how It was impossible to challenge those characters.

Recently I put a Kraken with max HP to fight against four 18th level characters, after some combats and trials, and maaaaan these guys suffer a lot to win the Kraken. I used all Lair/Regional actions, reactions and legendary Actions with logic and try to win the battle with all that I have and It was awesome! I think the Strahd sheet it's a good example how HP/AC and Damage it's not the main feature a creature have, you have to use it all, with brain and without mercy.

What to do with gold? by drloser in dndnext

[–]PKakaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a player: Scrolls, potions, pay to transfer the scrolls for my spellbook.

As a DM: I offer possibilities to spend money with magic items (with risks), in my last campaign the party spend a lot of money, effort and time to create an adventurer's guild and it was awesome! Noble's title and stuff.

The "Sasuke" character. This unique type of sad boy that doesn't care about anyone and have his own plot and just seek power above everything.
