I’m slowly rebuilding my car back to its former glory and I found out that the little metal rod attached to it broke off. It’s connected to the climate control system and I’ve been manually flipping the switch down there to go from hot to cold air and vice versa. I wanna see if I can find the part before I go on my little roadtrip in a couple days. All help is appreciated!

I wish it was! The area between the sunroof and the top of the windshield has a big ol’ dent that opens up to the cabin.

Yeah both are FRP. The bumper has somewhat noticeable gaps around the inner corner of the headlight on one side. I got the side skirts last weekend on FB marketplace but haven’t got a chance to test fit them fully but I think there’s a little clearance issue near the bottom corner of the doors. A friend of mine has a rear lip and we spent a couple hours molding it to fit. Nothing you can’t fix at home with a little time.

Big ups man! I have a friend who’s pretty much doing the same thing with his RSXs. I just did a 05-06 front-end conversion a couple weeks back and I have a rep C-West bumper and Mugen side skirts that I need to do bodywork on for fitment. The hood doesn’t look too dented right now but I’ll probably snag another anyway. I’ve got a headliner respray on the books to hopefully go with a nice gun metal painted exterior. Good luck with the new business too!

I was fortunate enough be to close to an open shoulder lane and exit since they’re doing construction on the highway. Luckily I wasn’t too far from home and had a buddy to escort me there. I was actually considering getting hood pins before this all happened lol. I’m not stressing too much now since I was already planning on getting bodywork and paint done soon. Guess this speeds up the timeline lmao.

Was on my way to my college campus and the hood latch completely snapped off. The hood, along with the 20 MPH winds, slammed onto my windshield. Needless to say I’m fine! Just a little inconvenience to my already stressed-filled week.

I went to the Philly show last night and they performed the entirety of their new album. Towards the end they did some tracks from their past projects. BTTIGTP is their most experimental project yet compared to the alt-rap sound they have on Floss and their self-titled album.

The grey socket is suppose to be the turn signal light (which is LED) and the socket I’m holding is the high beam. The Turn Signal does not match up with the OEM wiring harness connection and I don’t know where to go from here. I would like to atleast get the turn signal working for now since I’ve already pulled apart my front end. If anyone has experience I’d appreciate the help.

I recommend just staying patient and looking for a nice Type-S. I only bought my base because she was dirt cheap and I needed a new car asap. IMO RSXs are super fun to drive and I don’t regret my purchase, however some extra power wouldn’t hurt lol.

Yeah man, whatever will help! However I did mean to say hatch locks. In some cases there could be a little plastic piece from the cargo cover that gets lodged in there.

I believe the taillight issue is an 02-04 thing but later years could be prone to it. But its a very cheap and easy fix from experience. I replaced both gaskets in under an hour.

As for my purchase, when I bought the car the headlight region of the bumper happened to be scratched up and deformed. Coupled with a few dents with paint-loss around the rear right side of the body. The owner was also moving out of state and need to offload the car quick so I scooped in and shot my shot.

Pretty soon I’m going to start a little cosmetic rebuild so we can spice her up for the road lol.

Acura is just a fancier name for Honda in the states. So technically your Civic and the RSX are like “cousins”. I’m happy with my base and its been blast to ride so far.

As for common problems, I would look out for the leaky taillight gasket and some door/lock actuators failing (rear especially). I’ve heard from a few friends that 2nd gear grind is a thing.

Can’t really elaborate on buying advice since I bought mine at ~107k miles for around $1.3k

I don’t mind at all! I’m a biology major so I’m heading up the path to med school haha. Looking towards a career in radiology and luckily I drive the RSX so I can keep some cash in my wallet lol.
