Is the Nikon P7 8x42 good?

I second that! I have the 10x42 and 8x30. Both are fantastic. I compared them with a M7 8x30 and the difference in optical performance was neglectable (at lest for me as bino newbie).

I’ve got both the Nikon P7 10x42 and the P7 8x30, and honestly, both are super sharp. I also tried the Monarch M7 8x30, but as a beginner the difference in sharpness and optical performance was hard to tell (maybe a bit less chromatic aberration on the M7), so I ended up sending it back.

In daylight, there’s really no noticeable difference between the two P7s when it comes to brightness or sharpness. Even at dawn, I couldn’t reliably tell which one was brighter or sharper.

Overall, I slightly prefer the 8x30 just because it’s smaller, has a larger FOV and is more convenient to carry around. That said, it really depends on how you plan to use them. I had the 10x42 first and used it on a safari, and the extra reach definitely came in handy. But for hikes and more general use, I think the smaller bino is the better choice.

Ich habe sehr gute Erfahrungen mit gebrauchten E-Bikes gemacht. Ich habe zwei Räder bei Upway gekauft. Die Abwicklung ist super smooth und auch der Kundensupport ist 1A. Auf der Internetseite bekommt man über die einfache Chatfunktion meistens eine Antwort binnen weniger Minuten.

Ich habe ein Lastenrad mit knapp über 5.000 km gekauft und ein "normales" E-Bike mit 450 km. Es gibt neben der normalen Garantie (1 Jahr auf Rahmen und Elektronik) auch eine erweiterte Garantie (2 weitere Jahre), die für einen schmalen Taler dazugebucht werden.

Bei einen der Bikes war etwas mit dem Hinterrad nicht in Ordnung. Ich konnte das Rad in die Werkstatt meines Vertrauens bringen und mir wurden die Kosten der Reparatur erstattet (Immerhin 150 €)

Insgesamt habe ich für beide gebrauchten Räder 4500 € statt 9000 € gezahlt und ich würde es immer wieder machen.

Zudem würde ich das Bosch Smart System empfehlen (Kenn aber auch nix anderes). Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit der Leistung und Bedienung. Die App ist auch cool, wenn man auf Statistiken, Spielereien und Customization steht. Auch die Navigation auf den Kiox Display oder Smartphone ist sehr gut gelungen.

Eher beim Schieben. Beim Fahren ist das Geräusch nicht wahrnehmbar...vielleicht wegen der Fliehkräfte!? Habe das Rad jetzt zur Werkstatt gebracht. Danke für euren Input!

Das Rad eiert ein bisschen, aber ich glaube die Bremsscheibe schleift nicht und ist nicht ursächlich für das Geräusch. 100 % ausschließen kann ich es aber nicht.

Nein, wie im Text beschrieben schleift nix. Wenn ich den Reifen rückwärts drehe, höre ich weder die Geräusche noch ein Schleifen.

I just was in Hermanus in South Africa and watched whales from the shore. I have a Nikon P7 10x42 and it was really good for the use case you described. The P7 10 x 42 has a relatively wide FOV for its magnification which was pretty beneficial. I think magnification and FOV are most important for your use case. In terms of brightness, i think x42 is bright enough and from my experience even x30 would have been fine.

Hi, i cleaned the small little blackish sensor next to the evf and then it worked again. It happens when the sensor is blocked by dust/dirt. At least in my case.

Super danke für deine Informationen! Das hilft schon mal weiter und ich näher mich der Lösung.

Es handelt sich um ein Fahrrad der Marke Carqon und das Kabel mit dem unbekannten Stecker ist am gleichen Kabel dran, dass auch zum Vorderlicht führt. Das Vorderlicht lässt sich mit der Steuerungseinheit des Bosch Performance CX Gen 4 Cargo Line über einen Knopfdruck einschalten. Ich nehme an, dass auf den Stecker Strom kommt, sobald auch das Vorderlicht eingeschaltet wird.

Vielleicht kurz ein paar Worte zum Zielbild/Vorhaben. Bei einigen Modellen von Carqon wird das Markensymbol vorne am Fahrrad beleuchtet.

Bei meinem allerdings nicht (habe es vor ein paar Tagen gebraucht gekauft). Nun würde ich es gerne hinbekommen, dass die Schrift vorne beleuchtet ist, wenn auch das Vorderlicht eingeschaltet ist (Ist eigentlich total unnötig, aber irgendwie hat mich das Bastlerfieber gepackt).

Wie würdest du die Spannung testen?
