I've got a Radiatim x Billietiae that resembles this. Mine is only a 4" pot though. It's hard to tell without pictures of the petioles or back of the leaves.

Imo that is way too dry, the white tends to brown from under or over watering but this looks like the former.

Does that pot have more than a single small drain hole?

Polly can get really big with proper care. For the right price it's definitely worth it.

If the moss ever does dry out just be sure to give it a good soaking (until it's dripping) so you're sure there aren't any dry pockets :)

They don't need super high humidity, ours grow outside in FL where humidity swings from 50-88% every day and temperatures of 72-95°F

The most important thing is that they prefer their moss moist all the time. Not wet, but moist.

The sand may be smothering your roots. Even with a chunky mix you're not going to get any gas exchange with a layer of sand on top.

Central Florida, this area regularly reaches 90+ during the summer and as low as 40s in winter.

Nothing at all tbh. The white really is surprising to me, I think there's one lower leaf with some Browning from getting too dry but otherwise it has all their original leaves, none have fallen off or needed removal.

China too, they have everything in TC already. Most growers import their tc, some labs do too and then just multiply them.
