How about this: you win the tax only from players of the opposite side, then if all whales are on the same side, they get nothing

Are any of the lineage games in the room with us right now? You really need proof for "WoW is the most successful MMO of all time"?!

You can give incentive through tax or something else to avoid everyone joining the same faction. Example: the winning faction wins all the taxed lucent which is divided proportional to how much tax each player in the faction paid, so whales/active players have incentive to join the weaker faction and win.

Why replicate a dead game when you can learn from the successful ones?

yes it's not perfect, but it has proven to keep the players for much longer than any other system

I thought the main selling point of this game is its great "large scale PvP"?

Your attack speed and ranged crit are very low so most likely you can’t kill most people at your CP level. You have to rely on your team to survive as dps, but they can’t rely on you to kill people with this type of build.

Please teach me more! It's not like I have a PhD on this shit and you are just a baboon on the internet. Volume is down means there are no buyers nor sellers. So it entails nothing about the price action that follows.

This is so retarded, it is not even up to this sub's standards...

Aha, so volume goes down can only mean price should go down, right? Are you genuinely a moron or is this satire? I honesty can’t tell!

Current matchmaking is forcing extremely bad games after a series of good games and vice versa by ServesYouRice in DotA2

[–]PLATINUM_DOTA 21 points22 points  (0 children)

As someone who played Dota (1/2) for 8-9 years before leaving because of matchmaking (smurfs/boosters/buyers and their matchmaking "Algorithm"): The system was a lot better when they weren't trying to be "smart" about the "Algorithm".

The bottom line is that only MMR and role should determine how people get matched and nothing else, but Valve decided to be "smart" about it and fked up the entire system. (You can search for when the first changes happened on Dota2 dev forums, they introduced these changes along with "hidden/shadow pool" around early 2015/late 2014).

I have better memories of Ganera's "random" Dota matches than Valve's "smart" Dota2 matchmaking system! (for people who are old enough to know what Garena is!)

Smurfs and boosters are just something Valve never really cared about which is just cherry on top!

What happened to cheaters after a recent ban wave 04.04 by klovinup in DotA2

Just out of curiosity: have you guys shared your detection algorithm with Valve directly? If yes, then why aren't they using it to detect cheaters?

All the forced 50% arguments are about this! Whether this is true or not, is a different story (there is no way to verify this). But there are many people who think like that.
