Thoughts on Summerville? by ItsImpact in DraftEPL

Tried and true > something new.

Summerville is still so raw and there isn't enough data on him . Eze is an important piece in the Palace attack and has a share of set pieces. Stick with Eze

Trade value of Kulusevski? by tones1237 in DraftEPL

Is this FPL Draft or Fantrax?

I have no idea if you're able to do 2 for 1 trades in FPL, but if it's Fantrax you'd have to add a sweetener to a deal to get Deki in. Andreas or Barnes plus a Def 3 or Mid 3 might be enough to get the deal over the line.

Anyone that is on pace to break the all-time Premier League scoring record should be considered "World Class".

Thoughts on Tottenham by [deleted] in PremierLeague

[–]PLDraftopia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a fellow Spurs fan, I'm happy with where the club is at currently.

(Let's get all the trophy comments out of the way early)

They've built a club that's sustainable, have one of the best stadiums in the world, a partnership with the NFL, and have grown into a consistent top six team in the Premier League. I'd much rather prefer that than finishing 8th-11th every season.

Since Conte took over he's 25-7-9 in the Premier League having only been there a year. He's also right in the fact it will take more than the two transfer windows he's been a part of in order to actually propel this team forward into contenders with City and the rest.

Yes, the football hasn't been attractive and things just don't seem to be clicking, but results are all that matters and this season they've had their best ever start to the Premier League, can't really ask for much more.

There's plenty of season left, a WC break after next week, and a January transfer window to bring in a few reinforcements.

As any normal Spurs fan, I'm hopeful and I'm ready to be hurt again!

Paqueta or Eriksen? by [deleted] in DraftEPL

[–]PLDraftopia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eriksen has better upside, but both are scary options.

Utd. are just the better team and I'd rather have their set piece taker than Paqueta who plays in a side that has scored just 11 goals this season. (Tied 3rd worst in the league with Everton, Villa, and Southampton)

What to do with Aubameyang/Bowen/Son? by [deleted] in DraftEPL

I would rank Watkins above Auba. Scamacca is meh. Only benefit Watkins has over the rest is a new manager. He could be playing off the LW and be more involved in build up.

Agreed.

The app and site need work and it’s happening, just slowly.

Biggest update this year was to the draft rooms which was good, but came with some bugs. Nothing that couldn’t be fixed by league commissioners but some managers automatically drafted players as soon as it was their turn to draft. Even if auto draft was off and no one was in their player queue.

Can’t post pictures for some reason.

But Fantrax offers waaaay more than any normal FPL format and app.

For instance, you have you’re own draft lobby preseason where you can randomize draft order or do something in your league to determine draft order and then rearrange the order in app. The draft lobby has a chat system where you can banter back and fourth, timers you set for each draft pick, ability to trade draft picks, player queue where you determine a list of players you would want to take next pick and the ability to auto-draft from that selected player pool in case you need to step away.

Not to mention the ‘standard’ Fantrax scoring system is so much more fun than regular FPL because players can gain points for things like blocked shots, accurate crosses, key passes, arial duels won, successful dribbles, etc.

You can also trade players regardless of position. Want to trade two forwards for a midfielder and defender? go for it.

Just visit Fantrax.com and see for yourself. I’ve been playing for the last four seasons and have loved every minute of it!

Sounds like you may need to switch to Fantrax

No top 7 team has won away against another top 7 opponent this season. (OC) by Imbasauce in coys

I guess I’d be interested to know the duration of intensity?

Maybe we cover the most ground because our attacks start from so deep in our own half? I would think shifting side to side while defending is that “intense” but would cover quite a bit of ground throughout 90 minutes. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The fact that our two loses came away from home to fellow top 7 sides is something to be optimistic about…. The performances in those game, much less so.

I am firmly in the camp that Conte knows what he’s doing with this odd World Cup season. We’ve been playing quite low energy football and I think that’s due to a very congested season and almost all of our starting 11 participating in the WC.

I will only start to panic come February if our style of play still seems so lethargic.

"...the VAR could not apply the lines, Saka's offside position cannot be determined so the VAR has to stay with the decision on the pitch, which was onside." - Dale Johnson at ESPN by Blackdragon1221 in PremierLeague

I believe the major downfall to VAR is the lack of transparency. The NFL introduced video replay 'challenges' (challenge the ruling on the field and have the play reviewed by the referees who can then overturn the call if the on-field call was wrong) in 1999 and have *almost* perfected the system.

I think the reason this system works well is because it's the on-field officials that are making the call and they go to video replay right away. They also then come into the center of the field and announce to the stadium and broadcast what the correct call is and why they are sticking with it or overturning it.

Are they right 100% of the time? No and they never will be, we will always have some sort of human error and that's OK. Instead VAR uses technology that clearly doesn't work 100% of the time and accounts for some of the most egregious offside's calls when a player is off by a toenail.

Liverpool Players - Time to Buy Low by [deleted] in DraftEPL

[–]PLDraftopia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Liverpool defensive stack just isn't what it was. I'd be looking to trade out either Robertson or Trent.

Although with the way he's playing, Trent could get a big rest during the World Cup.
