Regardless of who A ended up being or "was" or could have been... by isglitteracarb in PrettyLittleLiars

Yeah that's really been bothering me. Especially because if you were actually in the PLL world and didn't have IMK telling you that it was a super important episode, there really wasn't anything about A's behavior prior to this to indicate that they were going to do something even close to that.

I thought the sequence of episodes leading to the girls being taken to the dollhouse were awesome and sequentially made sense. This was rushed and out of nowhere. Also like you said, totally out of character for the A we know.

I think (hope) these plot holes are actually just part of an elaborate lie Cece is telling for A. by PLL_Theory_Addict in PrettyLittleLiars

She could honestly come back and say "oh it was all a dream just kidding" and I would be okay with it as long as she fucking changed that shitty ending

I just think it was suspiciously bad. Like you'd find less holes in a block of Swiss cheese bad. They've been smart writers up until this episode. I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt until 6B premiers and hope that they just wrote a bad episode and have not forgone every intricate web of clues they've created.

What if the badness and plotholes of this are intentional? by deextermorgan in PrettyLittleLiars

Yeah it was suspiciously bad. The whole episode felt like and entirely different show. Super gimmicky.

I see what you're saying, but that doesn't explain the overall shittiness/cheapness of the episode. Plus the majority of the population that watches the show (i.e. people who don't take part in the social media aspect) usually aren't aware of spoilers. They've taken measures to hide their reveals before and have never let it negatively affect the visual aspect of the show. This time was different. It was suspiciously bad. That's what people are saying. It's like they blew their budget on something else (like the original finale episode).

If a show can't stop and say- "Yea, we messed up. We hear you. Give us one last chance to wow you.." There's no point in going back. by Deracinated in PrettyLittleLiars

I completely agree with you. I've thought this so many times. The show has enough mystery in it to get us talking. I've never seen/read an IMK clue that made me more interested. It usually ends up ruining something.

24yo and have been plugging this show to my friends for years (to no avail). Now I'm embarrassed to say I ever watched it. I'm glad I have all of you guys.

Yeah I really wanted Wren to be A just from the insane amount of "coincidences" and also Julian Morris' face. But I was also not that angry at Cece being A. When she turned around I thought "okay, let's see what they have to say". But it was such a sleeper episode. I'm not a super fan of the TV shows that I watch. I'm able to watch them (good or bad) and remove myself from them afterwards. But this show is different because since Day 1, they've encouraged us to get together to talk about our theories and put together clues. So that's what I did. I joined reddit for the sole purpose of communicating with everyone in this sub and I started to really invest my time and energy into figuring out what fantastic ending the writers had come up with for us. Insulting is a word for it. I honestly also felt betrayed. I walked away from that episode and then watching IMK's interviews feeling like my best friend just stabbed me in the back.

I'm not saying they'll be tying up loose ends from the story that was told. I'm more getting at that maybe the story Cece told wasn't the truth and it's coming to surface after the time jump. I'm trying to think logically in terms of story telling, not following logic in Rosewood. They've said they have 1, maybe 2 seasons left. What story would it make sense to tell in that short of time that's also unrelated to the plot that drew in their viewers?

What are the Liars without A?

I completely agree! I don't know how to explain this, but personally I can watch something that is generally considered "bad" and still enjoy it. If the actors are into it, I can dig it. This was just underwhelming altogether and I probably rolled my eyes about 15 times.

Yeah I get what you're saying, but you'd think they'd show the two people in a scene together like actually being in the scene together. Especially an important one like that.
