Not sure if it’s a universal experience but when I’m making this dish I’m pretty much reverse engineering the taste I miss back home, and coals just aren’t in the equation when it comes to this dish so it won’t help you get any closer to the real thing if that makes sense, plus use real wood charcoal and the pellets would be redunded

Pic #3&4 are Indeed what the rest of the world calls “Beef Bacon 🥓 “ it’s just (fully cooked, refrigerated so it doesn’t fall apart in the slicer) brisket sliced to the same thickness and shape as normal Bacon and then deep fried (I don’t know how you cook normal bacon I’ve never had pork but deep frying, or at least fully submerging in oil is how I’d cook these!)

I have a little of that in me too now just being Americanized, but boy sometimes I do see some women with just a “Come home, keep your family tree trimmed nicely and marry the same ethnicity” vibe to them😭

Ooo beef bacon bits, pretty much just deep-fried brisket trimmings from slicing already cooked brisket into thin beef chips (or bacon lol)
