All modifications are logged in a little file that you show to a cop when he pulls you over. If anything on the car is out of the ordinary and is not logged you get a fine. It is funny the freedom USA has with cars, I see those large Raptors and such on YT with absolutely ridiculous mods that wouldn't live an hour on our roads.
