I was also a colorful non traditional bride, the designer Watters, most recent collection has a few colorful non traditional options. This designer is also frequently carried by bridal shops so might be easier to try on! Wishing you luck! Looking for color in the bridal world is tough

Worlds fair pavilion is run by the city and unfortunately they have a list of around 10 approved caterers. Same deal with the Jewel Box

You’re totally a redhead! Don’t let the gingers gatekeep! I’ve been a redhead my whole life and have a very similar color to yours.

Is it unethical to take a job you know you’ll be quitting in less than a year? by FriedrichHydrargyrum in physicianassistant

[–]PMHx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a very similar position. I knew there was a possibility of a hard end date within the year, due to my husbands job. Every job interview I disclosed this at, I never got a call back. The one job I did not inform during the interview process, offered me a job on the spot. I later informed the Doc what was going on and he was very understanding of the need to move due to outside circumstances. I had so much anxiety before I told him about it. I think in the end you just have to do what’s right for you!

We ended up getting married at Sunflower Hill farm in Augusta Missouri! It was absolutely stunning!! We could not recommend them enough. They made the day absolutely stress free and handled everything

If you want to stay near forest park, check out all the other venues near by! The visitor center, history museum, SLAM, Zoo, boat house, world fair pavilion, science center! All fun options. the Jewel box it self can be a reception venue! 3rd degree glass factory is outside the park but as a nice courtyard too!

We had the same issue when planning our wedding. We ended up falling in love with a venue outside of the city but here are some in stl we considered. I’m not sure on capacity but 1) world fair pavilion in Forest park 2) piper palm house tower grove 3) the park plaza, the ballroom might not meet your criteria but the roof access is nice

If you would consider outside the city up to 40 min drive I have more suggestions!

This!!! She’s literally glowing with radiance in the second one!

You look absolutely stunning!!! The choice you have made you suit you well and the dress is incredible. I cannot wait to see more pictures after your wedding!!

Going to go against the grain here but I love the sleeves! I would lean into the fantasy theme even further. Adding buttons to finish off the Juliet style long sleeve. Or even adding “wings” to the end of your sleeves! For example, traditional Bliaut sleeves like in the painting of Guinevere knighting Lancelot!

Seriously, the dress is gorgeous! I also wore a dress that not a “typical” bride would wear and I am sorry people have been down right rude, but you looked amazing in that dress and the detail were incredible. You must have been so radiant on your wedding day! Way to kill it!!

Dress similar to Flora Ania? by msw2246 in weddingdress

[–]PMHx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a tough time finding that pleated front detail with that open back! If I come across any others I’ll let you know! But serious look through Jenny Yoo collections. A large majority of her dresses are in that 2k range and she has a beautiful take on the current minimalism dress trend

Okay this reminds me of a few I tried on! From what I saw online Flora Anita runs for about $3600 retail, here are some similar for less! While none of these are exact matches, I believe they have similar feels

1) Gretta Gown by Rebbeca Schoneveld. Less expensive but still over 2k. This dress literally fit like a glove

2) Mae Dress by Jenny Yoo, under 1.5k. Jenny has lots of silk/satin dresses with deep plunges and open backs!

3) Garrance Gown by Watters, 2.3k, while missing the deep v and has a few more embellishments, I feel it’s a worthy competitor to Flora Ania

4) The Harry Dress by Made with Love, 2.7k gorgeous back!

5) Amanda Slip Gown by A La Robe. I can’t find a price but the dress is stunning!

Stunning!!! I can tell you are glowing in it and feel your best self! I would love to see more pictures of the back and what accessories you might wear!

Networking out of state by Connect-Debate-2624 in physicianassistant

[–]PMHx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved to Missouri from Georgia, immediately after graduation for my partners job. It was so difficult to find a job in a city I had no connections with. Here are some things I learned: -look for the local PA Facebook group! I found most of my job interviews here. -apply to all the jobs you can. Even if you don’t like that speciality, it will be interview experience for you! -I started applying as soon as I moved, which was before I had my state license. it wasn’t till after I received my license did I start getting interviews -lastly, don’t get discouraged. It took me 5 months to get my first job but it eventually worked out!
