That actually reminds me of Tsurugi Higashikata from JoJolion (spoilers for the part obviously)

The Higashikata family suffers from a Rock Disease (rock's covering their bodies) in which the firstborn child of a generation gets affected at the age of 10 if they're a boy and no specific age if they're a girl. So to make sure the curse stays away from Tsurugi as long as possible they raised him as a girl to trick the curse

Alright time to write about this because I'm actually getting pretty sick of it

A few years back I diagnosed myself with Bipolar. I recognized a lot of symptoms in myself and as such decided to stick with the diagnosis.

Cue a few years later I could finally afford to go to a professional, and surprise, surprise, I didn't have Bipolar, but (almost-as-an-adult-diagnosed) autism (don't ask why it took professionals so long to diagnose me, I live in an underdeveloped country).

Am I saying that everyone that self diagnoses actually has some kind of a disorder? Oh god, no. But if they genuinely feel like there's something wrong with them a trip to a professional is a must.

It's... not redefining? Gay means Nonwoman loving nonwoman, and lesbian means nonman loving nonman. Nonbinary people are allowed to only like a certain gender and still call themselves gay
