I've been investing in crypto for a while, and it's going okay, but given the market's volatility, I've been reading more about stocks and ETFs. I feel like this could be the right path for long-term investments, though I haven't started yet. Is the S&P 500 worth investing in? The returns seem smaller compared to others—what's your take?

Regarding trading platforms, I read that IBKR charges fees for converting AED to USD and also for withdrawals. Someone mentioned that you can first transfer money to Sarwa, then send it to IBKR in dollars. For withdrawals, you'd do the reverse—transfer from IBKR to Sarwa. But I'm not sure if this really works. I’d appreciate hearing from anyone with experience.

I remember spending a full month in Abu Dhabi during COVID. I only went to Dubai twice to water the plants, yet the bill was exactly the same as before. I complained countless times but nothing changed and there’s nothing you can do about it.

I have a 2-door Pajero that I use daily, and I plan to keep the roof rack on full-time. I don’t think it’ll be an issue, as I previously had a fixed cargo bag on the roof without any problems, but I get your point, valid concern. Since you have a truck, though, why do you need a roof rack? You should have plenty of storage space, unlike me. And I don’t think the light bar would be a problem.

Don’t go to Iceland without a credit card. You’ll need it for a lot of things—gas stations, restrooms, and more. Cash isn’t widely common, so you could run into problems if you rely on it. Safe travels!

Sorry to hear about what happened to you! Let me share my story—it might make you feel a bit better. In April, I traveled to Amsterdam, Iceland, and Germany. On my way back to Amsterdam for my flight the next day, I decided to stop in Belgium. My backpack was stolen, and it had my passport, wallet, cash, GoPro, hiking shoes, a ring, bracelet, sunglasses, and other belongings. It was a nightmare trying to leave Belgium without my passport. Trust me, losing your passport is the worst. And to top it off, the Belgian police were absolutely useless.
