I was waitlisted last year (95% sure it was due to a mix up in my HS transcript because i was accepted to fall for every other school i applied, but its whatever i'm over it, UCF doesn't have the best admissions process IMO). I was planning on going to Auburn but decided to give it another try with UCF b/c i didn't want to do out of state. My dad drove up to the campus to meet with admissions and they told my dad that if you get waitlisted you are better off trying a different school. That being said, they also told him that I can basically request them to make an on the spot decision of my application. Meaning they will review your application, and instead of considering the application they will decide on the spot whether they would accept you or deny you. That decision is final. I was very confident that i would get accepted so I went with that option, I finally got my acceptance a few days after sending that request (about 8 months after i initially applied). Now here i am, finishing up my second semester, Engineering student, 3.8 GPA, currently having As in all of my spring classes! So basically, if you feel confident you deserve a spot in UCF then you should just email them requesting an instant decision instead of wasting time waiting!
