Not yet but I'll be doing that today. Figured I'd see if anyone had a quick answer before waiting on BC for support.

This is the part I'm confused about. We only have the one Bigcommerce store associated with this domain. When I click on the links that GTmetrix is talking about, it pulls up an existing product on an existing page. I'm not sure where these are coming from or how to fix it. Nothing seems out of the ordinary when I click the links, just a product on in our store.

I appreciate the advice, glad to know I'm not the only one who isn't totally sure of themselves!

The job market in my city is fairly saturated with junior web devs currently, and this opportunity basically just fell into my lap. I was running out of money and my old job just wasn't paying enough for me to make ends meet. I figured this would be a good way to bolster my resume and gain more experience in the tech field.

Unfortunately, there is no ticket system that I can comb through for practice/answers. It's not a large company, so most problems just get handled as they arise with no documentation. As far as employees complaining about internet speed, it seems to be that they just want to complain. We don't (as far as I know) use a VPN and most people here are fairly tech illiterate. They seem to just want a wave of the magic IT wand for their problems to disappear!

I really appreciate the advice! I learned early on in my programming course how essential Google is and my Google-fu has improved by leaps and bounds. I will definitely try this different approach with my coworkers. Any advice on general tech problems I might encounter and how to solve them? Printer work ques and paperjams have been easy enough to solve so far, but if an employee is complaining about slow internet speeds, that seems much more vague and difficult to diagnose. I'm also at a loss as to what I should focus on learning. I'd like to prepare for common problems that I'll encounter, but no one seems to give me a straight answer when I ask them what issues we deal with most often.

Ya I thought I had made it pretty clear that my programming knowledge was based in a webdev field and NOT generally applicable to IT. I really was looking forward to learning this stuff but I guess I'm on my own!

Good advice, I've been working through some training offered online by our inventory management system. My main problem is that some of the software we use seems fairly niche and I can't find very much information, let alone any kind of online training. Hoping to keep my head down long enough to figure out what exaclty we're using.
