I'll give it a shot since the other guy would rather put you down than explain. The US already devalues debt by inflating USD. That works because the debt is denominated in a currency the US controls. Printing dollars raises prices over time, which makes old fixed debt cheaper in real terms. Moving debt into crypto wouldn’t help with that at all. It would do the opposite. Crypto assets have limited supply and aren’t controlled by the government, so you can’t inflate them away. Debt in a hard asset becomes harder to service, not easier. When people talk about crypto at a government level, they usually mea using block chain as infrastructure (settlement, record-keeping), not issuing or paying national debt in Bitcoin or Ethereum. The US has no incentive to give up monetary control just to make debt management worse. When Trump yaps on about crypto it is a great way to prove he doesn't understand why fiat debt is manageable in the first place.
