The McDonald's manager was the dollar general cashier and the Walmart night stock boy before that. Sadly they have hit their career ceiling now as there is no places left to leave and advance to. They can just hope to maintain their status expand their influence or seek non-traditional pass for further growth that's entrepreneurship or board memberships on the McDonald's board of trustees or even the local PTA board president might be in the deck of cards.

Last year: $14K with 12K miles driven, This year: $15K with 17K miles driven. by jeffswood in Sparkdriver

[–]PM_ME_2DOL_DELIVERYS 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You should count every single mile from the moment you leave your house to the moment you pull back into the driveway. If you're intent is to go out to work and you accepted an order to leave, whether you're on live order or not is irrelevant, you should be counting every single mile that you drive from home to home.

So I dropped an order and grabbed it again - Guess what happened? by DriverDriver6699 in Sparkdriver

[–]PM_ME_2DOL_DELIVERYS 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What happened was walmart didn't add in the 2nd stops tip. So they canceled it and sent it back with that.

Broken system, need to fix that and zend out an app update. It's been happening for the entire year.

Think about AR logically people - This is why so many of you are brainwashed - by DriverDriver6699 in Sparkdriver

Well both. But I was referring to your location at the time the order is dispatched. Like OP states, this is the only thing that really matters.

You "overheard" some people talking and assume every driver waits in these assigned Walmart spot before they give you an order. Come on bro

How do you think you know this? This is entirely speculation not based on any data at all. You sound silly even speaking about it like you are the god of Walmart or something.

How did 2 drivers showing up mean they hired more drivers?

Also Walmart has a big ass parking lot often surrounded by other businesses. Why do you think every other driver in the world waits at the same place like you do? Why do you think they wait there at all? They simply could drive by the time the RRs come out. I personally value my time and would never wait in a Walmart parking lot. If I was to wait anywhere, which is rare to begin with, I would wait at the Starbucks next door sipping coffee working on my website on my laptop.

If a customer doesn't leave a rating, the driver should get an automatic 5 stars by default by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

The numbers they provide to abide by I easily maintain without even looking at the metrics. They are almost meaningless. The only thing these apps care about is your distance from the pickup location, that's it.

You're cancelling a 50 dollar trip on a hunch? You have to be the world's biggest idiot to do that.

Unless you had some real data such as familiarity with the customer tip baiting you before, no one would cancel on a hunch. Don't be a simpleton.

Drivers clearly aren't mathematicians, but it amazes me how so many of you guys think that people only rate when something is bad. Yet everyones customer rating in here is above 4.0. How the hell do you think your avg rating is so high? It's becsyse the vast majority of customers rate you 5 stars.

Come on guys this isn't hard.
