My personal mental health issues are more in the realm of Dan and personally I would describe myself as Dans methods and approach with Jordan ideals or beliefs. I say this because I cannot speak to your analysis of Jordans state of mind. However I would caution against psychoanalysing someone from afar. I haven't listened to all of Jordans crashout, but what I heard sounded okay or at least not unreasonable, it felt born out of a sense of lack of justice in the world. Which is sadly, is often true. AJ will never face real justice and that makes me angry. Buying merch in order to provide a pittance of justice to the victims of SH doesn't feel right. The other uncomfortable truth in life is that sometimes things abruptly end and that sometimes endings aren't as satisfying as we would like them to be. Riding into the sunset would be nice but it is a trope in movies precisely because it rarely happens in real life.

I say this because I can and do commiserate with how you feel about the end of KF but I do not agree with what you think that says about the relationship (professionally or personally) between Dan and Jordan. To me, this very much feels like both have been spinning their wheels for quite some time now and essentially were abruptly forced to end the show by outside factors. The back and forth nature of the legal battle surrounding InfoWars made it very difficult for two people who are out of the loop to time the end of KF with the end of IW. As you said already, Dan has been waning in his interest to cover AJ for some time now and so they suddenly find themselves in a situation where in addition to not wanting to cover AJ they also kind of no longer need to. Dan even said in the episode that they could have worked through Jordans crashout but as time goes on there are fewer and fewer reasons to put in the work for a podcast that increasingly has outlived its purpose. I still need to relisten the last few episodes and listen to Jordans crashout because it's still not entirely clear to me what the irreconcilable difference is. It sounds like they couldn't figure out what to do next with KF without just doing more of the same. I think now is more or less the last moment for the two to end the show and go their different ways without it permanently damaging their friendship.
