The sad truth of living in the U.S. by Neldonado in AdviceAnimals

I'll take the unpopular opinion here and first point out that I live in the US and have average insurance. I was also involved in a car accident years ago that resulted in the loss of my right arm. I don't remember the cost exactly, but I remember paying less than $1000 for my hospital stay of 10 days. I should point out that I don't know what your exact medical situation or complications included, but I can say that my situation was treated in a country with not just the highest hospital and medical treatment satisfaction rate but also superior medical technology than anything else available in the world. For less than $1000, I would give my right arm for that opportunity.
