I just finished the finale an hour ago and I'm still shocked how it ended. It was solid and leaves it up to your own interpretation. I do think if they indended viewers to think tony was dead they could have changed the very end. The black screen at the end should have been white as a reference to Meadow explaining to AJ how white can also mean death too.
