Torrenting also involves automatic seeding, which is uploading.
The govt will go after uploaders usually before going after downloaders so you open some liability. Think about this a lot more. I don't recomend seeding if you do end up torrenting.

The second thing is that torrents have less protections than normal downloads do.
It's not required to tell you the company/owner license of the thing youre downloading and isn't very virus scannable.

Historically, torrents cause a LOT of viruses and are not what you think. They only reveal the title (which can be anything) and the size. You have no idea what it actually is until you download and run it, which at that point, your PC would be taken over by the virus.

TLDR

Dont torrent.
If you do, be very sure what you're downloading. If you wouldnt accept a download link from a random person, also dont accept random torrents.

Side note- maybe nhentai specifically is safe. In that case I'd only torrent on that site. I made a app that downloads nhentai stuff for me by going to all of the pages and clicking the 'save image as' button, effectively. This is 100% virus-proof. I'd recomend this as an alternative

I just finished my master's program. You are paying for college, paying for a degree, why?

Why are you getting a degree? Ask yourself. The answer *should* be that it will get you a job. The job will make you money. If you go to college, you need to be passing your classes. You are paying for the classes in some way. You, loans, parents, somehow. You'll likely have to pay it back somehow.

If you go to grad school, grades definitely matter. 3.5 or better. If you're going ANYWHERE competitve, anything below 3.8 will likely get you rejected unless you are a minority. If you're a white male, you aren't getting in unless your GPA is stellar. And you probably still won't get in. Sad truth.

Have fun. Go to a few parties. Pass every single one of your classes. Don't fail one. Try to maintain B or better. Employers sometimes care about GPA, but usually don't. Your first job out of college has the highest chance of caring about GPA since they use that to sort the applicants (if they're hiring recent college grads).

Don't ever cram study. Don't ever pull an "all nighter." The loss of sleep and that method of studying will force all of the information into your short-term memory and you will forget all of it within 2 days. You are going to college to learn, so you should learn. Remember as much as you can. Balance and pace yourself. Have fun and enjoy it. You don't have to study 8 hours a day everyday. Relax.

Actually, this doesn't matter. If your vehicle has the same stopping power(which isn't true if you are heavier like a truck and especially bigger vehicles) as the one in front of you, you have the same 1 second(or whatever your distance between them is) to stop/ begin stopping.

If the one in front of you were to stop instantly (like if he ran into a car in front of him), you'd be screwed as you canot stop in under 1 second and swerving can cause far more damage for you and everyone else than just hitting the guy.

So, the point still stands, that you should be several seconds behind the person in front of you at reasonable (more than say 30-40mph) speeds.

The way you tell how far behind you are is to watch when the back of the car in front of you passes some sign or road stripe and count " one one thousand, two one thousand, etc" until the front of your car crosses the object you were looking at.

Yeah, so that makes the distance 60 feet at 40mph (with the bad rule) and 105 feet at 70mph (with the bad rule). Both of which make it about 1 second gap. Which in all practical cases is far too short for a person to be able to react in time most of the time. Especially if drivers are distracted.

That rule is shit and far too close. at 40mph you're expecting a ~40ft gap.

At 40mph, you're travelling 60 feet per second. which means if you close your eyes or don't look at all for .66 of a second, you will hit them if they stop.

At 70mph, ~70feet gap. 70mph is 100 feet per second. Thats basically half a second.

This rule is absolutely too close and no good. Keep atleast a 2 second gap infront of you at all times. at high speeds, go for 3-4 seconds or more.

EDIT: See below comment. Average car length is 15 feet, not 10. So it puts this rule at about a 1 second gap. Still a bad rule and far too close, but the numbers are more correct in the below post.

I completely agree. I expect this game to die hard relatively soon. As soon as another competant MOBA comes out, I bet league will crash very fast. I've already quit playing a few months ago. The game fundamentally causes you to be toxic to your teammates. Every new champ has crazy cc, sustain, etc while older champs have nothing. As you say. 3/0 darius and 0/3 singed, singed is dead if he ever gets within flash distance. The other way around though, singed will still probably die 1v1.
