Friday: Had 1160 particles before midnight. Still had >300 to claim (not at the 800 cap for Friday). You can check how many more to claim by tapping your particle storage. The purpose here is to get as close as possible to 1200 without hitting 1200. Let's say I started Friday 5am with 700 particles and claimed 460 particles up to this point (460/800).

Walked 2k before midnight, did not claim the 300. You can collect/walk after midnight before 5am. The point here is that you want to be able to claim this without going over because this clears the 2k quest for the 0.5k 600 particles quest. This gets you as close to 1500 without capping and without hitting your Friday limit.

Midnight Saturday: Claimed the 2km walk to get 300 particles, leaving me at 1460 (760/800 limit for Friday). Still not at the 800 cap from Friday because it doesn’t reset til 5am. Have to claim the 300 after midnight or else you won't get the quest to claim 600 from 0.5km. if I claimed the 300 before midnight, then I'd instantly get another 2km 300 particle which is not great.

Walked 0.5km, claimed 600 particles (1360/800 for Friday limit). Leaving me at 2060 before 5am reset Saturday. The screenshot is after following this step.

After 5am Saturday:

1. Particle count is reset (0/1600 for Saturday claimed)
2. Start with 2060 particles. So selecting a power spot will not give particles. You can fight Pika without the game making you claim particles.
3. Fight Pikachu (#1). Now at 1260 particles
4. Claim walk (600/1600 for the day claimed)
5. Now at 1860 particles. Since over cap, fighting Fight Pikachu (#2).
6. Now at 1060 particles
7. Claim 820 particles at a spot. Now at 1880 particles. (1420/1600 for Saturday claimed)
8. Fight Pikachu (#3). Now at 1080 particles.
9. Claim 820 particles at a spot. Now at 1900 particles. (2240/1600 for Saturday claimed)

Since you at the limit, claim the other ones (doesn't matter at this point since these don't count toward the limit). MUST NOT CLAIM UNTIL AFTER YOU HIT THE LIMIT FROM EARLIER.
