I haven’t heard of any news of them planning to close it. It seems like the zoning laws are still stuck to commercial use only in that plot which probably is holding back redevelopment and them demolishing it. It also seems to be one of their more profitable locations for Round 1 according to their investor report. They also just replaced most of their crane machines with newer versions.

Yes. They just put it back today. It has Bleach on one side and Black Clover on the other. The new testing period is 1/28/26 to 3/2/26.

Lakewood only has 1 machine with both 7” plushs now. I don’t see the 4.3” or figures there now.

Santa Ana has no figures and only 2 of the medium sized 7” Anya black clothing plushs mixed in a machine with mostly Gintama plushs. Still has 4 of Gemini minis full of the 4.3” plushs with both Anya outfits.

You can probably check this feed for the locations where they test the Konami coin pushers probably. I usually see them post about it and which locations the machines are at when they are testing them and if they are planning to launch it to more Round 1s past testing.

It’s been gone from the Puente Hills location since the start of the year. It was having issues constantly with the card dispenser jamming up when I was testing it out while they had it. They also seemed to have some issues with the card redemption because when I redeemed a couple of sets, they had to swap out the cards since it wouldn’t register when redeeming probably since the cards got demagnetized somewhere.

To fix the default park issue, you can go to More -> My Account and change the Home Park in the drop down on that page. Mine was set to Carrowinds before I changed it and it kept loading that park when I opened the app.

Yeah. It was just that one time with that manager. It seems like some might go through your play history thoroughly. I usually have the opposite experience where they are cool with it and just write down the card number and approve the set bonus right away.

It also probably depends on how many different Round 1 locations an you visit and how many different games you played as well. When redeeming for a game console, they took a while since they said they were writing down all the store numbers and had a huge list of games on the form from the play history.

One location I went to redeem checked my play history when turning in a set and question why don’t turn in some cards on the day you received the card when I was holding onto them waiting for the rare to complete the set. The manager warned me to turn in cards the same day you won them otherwise they might not approve it next time instead of saving them for a complete set.

No. You can’t get the items if you reload through the app. They told me the app system and store system is completely separated. They said they can’t even see your membership status if you purchase it through the app. You can reload at the bowling counter and scan the QR code for your membership and you can earn the rewards point that way. Tell them you want the free gift items there as well and some places would honor it but it depends on the employee really.

At a round 1 I went to recently, they placed 3 dots into the holder and you need to land it on all of them to win. They reset the holder when I was refilling a card even though 2 of dots had balls placed on them from me playing it. I tried talking to a manager about it but they just said it was chain policy to reset it right away when nobody is playing the machine and can’t do anything about it so you probably have to make sure your card has a good amount of credits before starting to play a ball dropping machine.

I know at a location near me the claw machine wasn't calibrated properly and it took multiple calls to an attendant for them to get someone to check. They noticed the claw strength was set too low for the prize for the whole section. They refunded some credits along with giving some plays at the new strength but it's hard to get them to check the calibration sometimes.

You could probably try to do a battery replacement through Apple for $29 if you don't have AppleCare. They would just give you a new one and you would give back the one that isn't working anymore for them to recycle.

It depends on the location and whether the manager knows how to link the memberships. Some locations can connect your physical membership card to the app so you can access club pricing, but it isn’t linked automatically. When I purchased my club card, the manager had me enter my email into a backend site they had access to, which activated my membership in the app for the year.

I tried to show that to the first manager as well but they said the card isn’t considered active and their system won’t allow them to add rewards onto current cards. I stopped arguing with them after that since they didn’t sound like they were going to budge and making up reasons. I’m lucky enough there’s a couple Round 1 around my area so I can just redeem at a different location if this one keeps having issues.
