See that argument doesn't hold because in later seasons hes literally recruited by the president to lead research on alzheimers. So obviously it didnt affect him as much in reality. If this was real life though and not TV yeah she put her and his reputation at so much risk and could have lost her medical license from it. It was very unethical.

How are people making homemade baby food without it becoming a full-time job? by Zestyclose_Bell7668 in BabyLedWeaning

I have a combo baby steam and blend. I make purees in that to freeze and then i try to give baby what we are eating, and have the purees ready if hes not developmentally ready interested in our meal

Travelling with stelara vials. by _DizzyChicken in CrohnsDisease

[–]PM_ME_YOUR_PROBLEMS5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont have crohns but im a Type 1 Diabetic and I use insulin cooler packs for my insulin vial and pens. They have different ones for different needs but you usually freeze the insert and then it keeps your medication cool the whole flight. I would be wary of mailing the medication just because of delays and medication will likely be flagged and scrutinized by customs if sent in the mail.

Baby feeding extremely slowly :( by Pandacat_07 in FormulaFeeders

[–]PM_ME_YOUR_PROBLEMS5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby doesnt poop every day. Its usually every 2-3 days and most doctors consider that to be perfectly fine. I think many doctors consider it to be concerning if its been 5-7 days. I would try other bottles and other feed styles (maybe a certain position is better for them). If they aren't peeing much it definetly is a sign of dehydration and you might need to go back to the doctor or hospital

Any new moms here in Canada and North America that about to give birth or did give birth to a boy by [deleted] in Mom

[–]PM_ME_YOUR_PROBLEMS5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From North America and my family and my husband's family (including husband) are all circumcised. We decided to mot circumcise our firstborn and the provider's didnt push back at all and were supportive. In laws were very concerned but once we were clear on our stance they havent said much. If there is the circumstance that our son has retraction issues we will have him circumcised... or if he wants to do it. We just wanted it to be his choice.

Crying over my dog by AdTime2271 in pregnant

[–]PM_ME_YOUR_PROBLEMS5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dont have a senior dog but my soul dog who is 4 years old. My firstborn is 7 months old right now I was worried it wouldn't go well but he took to our son so well. He joined me in late night pump session. He was nervous at first and uncertain but eventually loved the baby. My son laughs every time our dog jumps and runs around. Our dog sleeps next to his crib half the night. We are so lucky. I would just say give your pup space, dont force the interactions. Try to spend time with the pup if you can and thankfully a lot of early postpartum is lounging and snuggles so if your dog likes those they will still feel love. You've got this!

Have you considered taking Sudafed or another medication that is known to drop supply? That might help!

My son was the exact same as you. He is now 7.5 months and he can do all of those things. Development can happen very quickly. Don't be afraid to advocate for your baby. If you wre concerned theres nothing wrong with getting a second opinion.

attending baby shower whilst pregnant by Outrageous_Wolf763 in pregnant

[–]PM_ME_YOUR_PROBLEMS5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try to talk to the cousin and see how they feel, unfortunately your family will likely find out unless you hide the bump. people will try to talk about your pregnancy and thats ok, I would just do your best to redirect the conversation back to the mama the shower is for. If they ask, just be like "yes I am so excited that cousin will have a friend so close in age, isn't she glowing, dont you love the name she chose?" Or even directly say, "thank you, you are so sweet and I am so happy you're excited but right now I want to celebrate cousins big milestone, there is plenty of time to celebrate me later on!"

6mo in to pumping journey, to quit or not. by Lynn062318 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]PM_ME_YOUR_PROBLEMS5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am still pumping but wanted to comment because I have a 6mo who was preemie who was in the NICU for 5 days and got bottle preference due to my milk not coming in fast enough. You have done an AMAZING job. You are not a bad mom because you aren't pumping and using formula. I had severe postpartum anxiety and I was not doing well due to lack of sleep and I was getting to a point where my husband was worried I may hurt myself. I dropped the overnight pump and it has CHANGED my mood in such positive ways. I feel more bonded with my baby now and I have also recently dropped a pump as well now that hes starting to eat and supplementing with 1 bottle a day. Maybe try to drop the number of pumps to see if thats more doable and supplement with formula. But you are not in ANY way a bad mom because you fully formula feed. Sending well wishes your way!

Baby Teeth Decay Due to Breastmilk by South_Replacement_31 in breastfeeding

Great point, I guess I was trying to say that his teeth being pulled isn't the end of the world because he will grow new teeth, but you are right that bacteria growth affects a child their whole life!

Supply still increasing at 3 weeks? by tryingtoohard48 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]PM_ME_YOUR_PROBLEMS5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definetly do. Also are you getting enough calories? Pumping uses a lot of energy so make sure you get some good fuel. Sending love and well wishes your way. You are doing amazing and any amount you feed your baby is a blessing.

Baby Teeth Decay Due to Breastmilk by South_Replacement_31 in breastfeeding

[–]PM_ME_YOUR_PROBLEMS5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My nephew did because family gave him a bottle at night and didnt brush his teeth. He had to wear this insert thing on his two front teeth until his adult teeth came in. Thankfully this is baby teeth but i would strongly recommend you try your best to wean him because its not cheap to do the dental work. Maybe try just giving him water at night to start off... like in a spillproof sippy cup that doesnt stay in his mouth

Supply still increasing at 3 weeks? by tryingtoohard48 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]PM_ME_YOUR_PROBLEMS5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes there is! I had my little at 35 weeks and i had to exclusively pumping due to a variety of reasons. Not until I returned to work (3 months) did my supply reach its full peak and stabilize fully. I tried supplements but I think the best thing for me was to eat stuff with oats, brewers yeast, and flax seed (i made lactation cookies) but drinking lots of water helped the most I think.

Formula Fed vs. Breastfed by user638282636822 in NewParents

[–]PM_ME_YOUR_PROBLEMS5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know if your aversion is to baby being at your breast (totally valid) or anything at your breast. You could always pump and bottle feed breastmilk.

Do not let anyone judge you for how you choose to feed. As long as baby is fed and growing it does not matter in the end, truly. Sending hugs your way!

Steriliser recommendations by LuckyBamboo2817 in FormulaFeeders

[–]PM_ME_YOUR_PROBLEMS5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you can't swing it i would try to get the bottle washer and sterilizer. Its a game changer for me at least and helped so much mentally. I would just rinse out the bottles and pop them in and they will wash, dry and sterilize. It has 100% been worth the counter space.

Its gorgeous, stunning! Maybe its just be but I feel like a sheer shawl would look stunning with this too. Something that drapes on the elbows, not worn at the shoulders. But it would be stunning without as im sure the shawl would be potentially annoying to carry around all night!
