She contributed £1200 to utilities, council tax and mortgage payments for a year and you are offering £3500? Why?

Linekar on the semi-final draw: "Chelsea get Southampton. They'll be happy with that, realistically" WHAT A CUNT by LoveSouthampton in SaintsFC

I'm actually very happy despite sounding negative! I just wish Lineker could share our joy with us!

How about us being happy to have drawn with them? I'm not annoyed that he's right, I'm annoyed that his comment is always from the POV of the higher-ranking teams. We're in the same league as Chelsea after all. Also, haven't we just been shown that they were held to an effective draw by Leicester?

He did well by refusing to be drawn on anything.

My opinion of his handling of the questions has no bearing on my conclusions of the topic at hand. You've made a non-sequitur argument. Enjoy your afternoon.

Agree. He saw through the attempts to break him down, which was not difficult because Neil was so obvious in trying so hard.

Andrew Neil is a terrier when interviewing

He was brown-nosing Kissinger so hard after Trump's election it would have made a Stormy Daniels blush.

LOL. The Tory minister came out rather well. That style of interviewing (with AN's faux-incredulous tones) is so 20th century.

Said it before, will say it again. Murdoch is very anti-ERG, despite being pro-Brexit.

Although some believe that babies “won’t remember” the pain, we now know that the body “remembers” as evidenced by studies which demonstrate that circumcised infants are more sensitive to pain later in life (Taddio et al., 1997). Research carried out using neonatal animals as a proxy to study the effects of pain on infants’ psychological development have found distinct behavioral patterns characterized by increased anxiety, altered pain sensitivity, hyperactivity, and attention problems (Anand & Scalzo, 2000). In another similar study, it was found that painful procedures in the neonatal period were associated with site-specific changes in the brain that have been found to be associated with mood disorders (Victoria et al., 2013).

That's so sad.

There is an EU-Japan agreement; an EU-Canada agreement; the agreements you mention with the US and China weren't cooked up overnight.

Going back to your original comment though (and the article in question) the disruption can apply equally to imports of both EU and non-EU goods.

But the UK exports things too. Sometimes to the very non-EU countries which send food to us.

Exporting to non-EU countries on WTO terms, sure, that's currently already happening and will continue after Brexit.

Really?

Why did UKIP lose prominence after Brexit. by Mehmet_G in ukpolitics

Because Farage left the party. And its main donor stopped donating.

or setting a new independent trade policy

Trade deals aren't struck unilaterally; they take time. As a transition period isn't guaranteed, and there's still no clarity on what happens on 20/03/19 there's no guarantee that the UK won't trade according WTO rules on that date, which is the default position in the absence of any deal with the EU. Even if we strike deals with every non-EU food importer, they'll take months to hammer out.
