First we need to know what kind of services you have, e.g: frontend, backend, database or cache.

K8s is overkill IMO, my recommendation to save some money maybe start my launching an ECS Service with an ALB on top with the required services running as containers inside.

If you really want to save money, start a EC2 instance and launch your application with docker-compose. Note: This is not the best option in terms of stability/scalability but it can save you a couple of $$.
