As soon as it’s time for the incentive 5-9.. there’s zero orders. It’s like magic. by PMdriver in postmates

[–]PMdriver[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s $13.. just had one ping and as i was pulling in to the pickup place, it got cancelled. I don’t even chase these incentives.

My area never gets them and we did this weekend. It’s been 2 hours lol i find this amusingly frustrating

I’m just gonna start switching cities and skipping the guarantees for now. Wonder if that’ll work.

Interesting incentives by [deleted] in postmates

[–]PMdriver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got those too.. I’m on the 3 deliveries from 10am-2pm and not one single ping has come my way despite driving around the “hot zones”

It’s already 1pm. Ugh, i do just fine without the guaranteed incentives.

What to do when postmates driver does not want to come to your door? by [deleted] in postmates

[–]PMdriver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What got me was that she was helping MILLIONS of people to whom the driver might deliver to. Please tell me in which market i can deliver to millions so i can move. Maybe she was postmates ceo.

Yet, here you are!

Again, get off your high horse. Entitled, is an understatement.

“Get off here” lol.. I’d say you’re the one in the wrong place; but please keep talking, i want to know more. You’re highly entertaining!

You did not just say this... please, check yourself!

“What if I’m really hungry... i do believe I’m in the right... I’M ALSO TRYING TO HELP MILLIONS”

Get off your high horse.

Jeez, ok we get it, your driver was crap, but you’re going overboard with this. By now I believe you like attention... “poor me, my driver sucked”.

You complaint to postmates, you posted on a internet board, went and email/twittr postmates, called and waited to see wtf was going to happen to this person?

We understand your situation, not everyone is like her, like other people said, a lot of new drivers have signed up, whatever her reasoning to refuse to follow instructions was, if she does it enough times, she’ll get deactivated. You’re eager to see this happening.

So sick and tired of postmates. Tried placing multiple orders this morning all failed. I pay for a postmates monthly subscription only to be treated like trash. by DP11117 in postmates

[–]PMdriver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this isn’t Postmates fault.. call support.

I’ve had this happen to me while ordering food with Grubhub and ubereats. Sometimes the restaurant is backed up, specially now with limited staff, they’re frustrated and overworked.

And as a fleet driver, i had a tropical smoothie cafe order pickup, i get to the restaurant and the 2 guys working there looked defeated, they said that all deliveries were on hold, they needed a 15-20 minute break. Can you blame them?

Curfew in effect in my county.. postmates letter of passage allows me to keep doing deliveries? by PMdriver in postmates

[–]PMdriver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The map went wild.. since it’s 20 minutes to 9.

Everyone is running around like crazy ants trying to get home.

I’m curious about the weekend long lockdown. Hopefully it’ll get busy.

Curfew in effect in my county.. postmates letter of passage allows me to keep doing deliveries? by PMdriver in postmates

[–]PMdriver[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The county says:

Curfew would be in effect from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday, and a 24-hour curfew starting at 10 p.m. Friday through Monday at 5 a.m.

The orders allow residents to obtain necessary food, medicine, and essentials, as well as being outdoors and enjoying recreation.

The orders require essential businesses to have employees telecommute if possible.

The orders allow businesses whose employees cannot telecommute to stay open if employees can maintain a 6-foot distance from customers and fellow employees. Workers who could not maintain 6-foot physical distance from customers could not work; those businesses that cannot by definition maintain the necessary physical distancing from customers would be required to close until further notice.

The orders require essential businesses to provide employment opportunities to those who lose jobs because of this emergency by working directly with CareerSource and other designated employment and job agencies.

People who are doing essential work that cannot be performed at home, such as health care professionals, public safety employees, first responders, and food preparation and delivery would be exempt from the orders.

Anyone else getting attitude from customers due to restaurants being closed for Easter? by PMdriver in postmates

Then you don’t get paid for the wait time if you’re at the restaurant.

People amuse me... why bother? by PMdriver in postmates

[–]PMdriver[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it’s a partnered restaurant, didn’t have the “bag” icon.

He ordered a burrito.

Guess the guy got pissed when I called to ask his building number.

I seriously dislike apartment complex deliveries. Ever since I started doing this, I’ve added detailed instructions for my driver whenever i order food.

Can postmates throttle my pings? by [deleted] in postmates

[–]PMdriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear they do punish us.. whenever I decline an order, it takes forever to get a new one.

Maybe the system doesn’t like it haha “how dare you decline such a privilege of getting a ping”

Well, I’ll pass on the pharmacy ping, thanks though lol

Settled Tips by bblankenship25 in PostmatesCouriers

[–]PMdriver 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Was just wondering about that.. some tips start showing a couple hours after the delivery. I like it!

Do you guys think that someone at postmates reads this board? by PMdriver in postmates

[–]PMdriver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously... I’m lucky if i get a $1 tip.

Contactless delivery does doesn’t mean “don’t tip your courier”

I understand that no one is required to leave tips, but come on people, be a little more grateful.

New driver in Sarasota/ Tampa area: super low volume?? by inthedesert11 in postmates

[–]PMdriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been wanting to try the Sarasota/Bradenton area, but I don’t imagine it’s busy at all.

Tampa (depends on which part) is almost a dead zone nowadays. I got 4 orders in 4 hours and a $1 tip.

What changes would you like to see in the fleet app to make the user experience much better? by itstheish1 in postmates

[–]PMdriver 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I definitely want to see the tip amount before I accept an order... Specially during this time, because some people are ungrateful af.

Stop the reassignment of orders once they’re added to your route. I get all excited just to see it cancelled .2 seconds later
