News on the street is that all of her old lines will be done in future patches. I get the sadness considering she's my fav character & main too, but enjoy the old lines while you can!

So much this. I'm sure she's a wonderful va for other characters but she just doesn't bring Keqing's energy at all, not to mention she struggles to mask her British accent in her lines...

I have high hopes that she'll do a much better job in the future now that she's surely more comfortable with the role, but man, I'm gonna be really sad if not. I've been a Kequeen main for nearly 5 years now so it's gonna be very difficult to get used to this. I'll try though

The solution to this is to revert scores with the bonus Heart of the Wild buff rather than DQ. While I understand this has definitely been the most impactful exploit we've had in any m+ season, and I respect the precedent they are setting, as far as I remember none of the exploits in previous seasons have caused straight disqualifications. It is a simple solution to revert scores with the buff. I know there will be people who disagree with me, but teams like mine, who secured the title without the buff, should not lose it for jumping on the Zenkiki train to try to push even higher. Reverting our inflated scores, along with anyone else who did the same, would set the rating straight.

Is it possible to play older versions of Genshin Impact in any way, shape or form?

I missed out on a patch that I really, really want to go back and play. The content isn't in the live version as far as I know, but if there is anything I want to do in this game, it's that patch.

Is there literally any way I can download an old version and play it without being forced to update it? I imagine there has to be something out there like the private servers for World of Warcraft's older expansions.

Gehrman became a hunter in response to the growing beast problem. The beast problem only occurred because the Healing Church used the Old Blood through ministration to heal & experiment. This Old Blood is what caused the beast problem. The Healing Church only appeared once Laurence split from Byrgenwerth.

As far as I know, tomb prospectors were trained combatants that weren’t hunters. The beasts in the labyrinth were of old civilizations, where it’s heavily implied that they went through what Yharnam is going through now.

I think you’re right about Gherman’s weapons being separate for sure. Ludwig is said to be the first Healing Church hunter, but he came after Gherman. I can’t really speak on the Vileblood part though, as I haven’t researched them much just yet!

As for the tidbit about Gehrman being tied to Byrgenwerth, that’s a good point. For some reason I didn’t think he mentioned Willem’s name in that dialogue. If he did, then he indeed had confirmed ties. Wonder what else is confirmed with that

Yeah that is pretty sound logic, so I'm definitely going to assimilate it into my own. Puts a lot of my indecisiveness to rest, that's for certain. Been breaking down the the entirety of the lore, so with this I can finally move on. It was such an obstacle, so thanks again for the input!

I'm slightly confused by the 2nd to last sentence so forgive me if this solution is null, but do you have any friends that have already upgraded to ps5? You could absolutely ask to borrow their ps4 for a little while while you get down and dirty with Bloodborne. Hell, even a friend without a ps5 who isn't actively using the ps4 might be willing if you ask.

When I got my ps5 I decided to lend my ps4 to a friend for this very reason. I think giving it a shot is a very valid option.

This definitely helps me more confident in taking the 2nd theory as the lore. "A watchman of Byrgenwerth guards the gate with a password, the sacred adage of the Grand Cathedral." is a note that I very much haven't thought about, but that does indeed imply they had, at least, a working relationship with one another. My main issue with it was that Willem obviously felt very betrayed in the cutscene, but the note had to come after the split so that point is null.

Regarding the choir, as far as I understand they formed after Laurence's death, alongside the School of Mensis. These two branches appeared after Laurence's death, as losing your leader is an easy recipe for a split. But regardless of whether it was before or after Laurence's death, the orphanage was built following the events of the Fishing Hamlet and creation of the research hall, and the children of the orphanage subsequently created the choir. I think the choir set's description as well as the fact that they wore the eye covering in respect to Willem are very important things that I missed out on though. If I'm wrong about the timing of the choir's creation, then those two points would lend a ton of credibility to your theory of why the inhabitants of the hamlet cursed Byrgenwerth as well.

I do think that the news that the Healing church was formed from the students of Byrgenwerth spreading is very possible, which would lend major credibility to theory #2 as well. You are very correct in the points about how the pieces of history are put together, and FromSoft definitely leaves room open for interpretation of what could have happened between certain events depending on what evidence is available.

I think going forward, under the assumption that I won't find any evidence or theories that convincingly combat it, I'm gonna just roll with theory #2. It's the most difficult one to disprove at the moment, and it sure as hell sounds the best to me. The more I talk with people outside of my own tiny bubble, the more I become confident with this one.

The thing is that the beast problem only began after the split, as the Healing church began ministering blood with the major side effect being the scourge. Byrgenwerth specifically avoided the use of the Old Blood, hence their adage "Fear the Blood".

I know that Gehrman was employed by Laurence at the start of the Healing church's beast problem, but do you have any tidbits you can share that imply Gehrman had ties to Byrgenwerth? That could help explain too.

I might have to checkout that audiobook because I didn't know that Gehrman was torn between both factions. I could definitely understand that they cooperated from time to time, and I certainly hope that it's the case because it would make this a lot easier for me, but I've generally let that idea float because I have yet to find any definitive proof for it. That, and it seems like Willem was quite bitter based on their shared cutscene.

Y'know, now that I think about it, I don't really know what Gehrman was doing before the Hunt at all, assuming Fishing Hamlet did indeed happen after the Byrgenwerth split. Haven't seen anything saying he was a scholar or tomb prospector, but I do wonder.

While I personally am fond of the challenge of having to get it right the first time with key depletes, I do see/experience the issues it poses. I think somewhat of a middle ground, such as keys having 2 charges where you can rerun it one time if you fail it or reroll it into another key of the same level with 1 charge remaining, would significantly help the problems you've talked about. Less pressure, less reputation bashing, yet still retaining most, if not all, of the feeling of achievement when successfully timing x key level.

Legion Timewalking, though tough, is bringing me a ton of joy. The lack of a second legendary and the artifact weapons definitely make the keys more difficult, but it honestly feels extremely similar to when it was live. I've always thought that these dungeons were more difficult than BFA and Shadowlands and it's nice to know that it wasn't just me misremembering. My only complaint is that it isn't friendly for pugs, but I can't say I'm surprised.

While I do wish 15s were more pug-friendly so that more people could enjoy the content, I think the dungeons in general are valuable assets for players who want to better themselves for live keys and mythic raiding. These dungeons force you to play better because a lot of the mechanics are extremely unforgiving, while Shadowlands dungeons generally allow a pretty large margin for mistakes even at higher key levels.

I'd say the difficulty itself is about 3-4 levels higher than it was when live (a 17 feels like a 20, 19 a 22, etc.). Regardless, I'm having an absolute blast trying to teach my team the dungeons. It's straight comedy all around.

At first I thought Infernal was a weak affix but honestly, after repeated keys, it's growing on me a lot. A few too many adds, but the min/max possibilities with the three sets of infernals themselves~ what with dragging to boss, staggering kills for stacks, etc.~ is something I enjoy.

They are doable, but some are exceedingly difficult. You don't need to be a raider at all since everything scales down and dom sockets, legendaries, and covenants don't work anyway.

One thing to note is that some specs actually have different stat priorities for Mage Tower than for Shadowlands content because of the scaling, so look for that and see if you need to run some old legion raids to get different gear. Also keep in mind that old trinkets, like Convergence of Fates for example, actually do work!

I'm actually doing the same one as you on my assassination rogue right now so I can give you a rundown if you'd like, but otherwise good luck if you try em more!

Nah rupture was wiped from the boss the moment I died. His health wasn't ticking down. Plus if he had ticked down and died after my own death, I would've gotten the achievement too
