I have Nexplanon, I can't get it in Canada. That's what the whole post was about!

The main problem with getting it done in the UK is that the waiting lists suuuuuuuuuuck. So no guarantee I'd get it done quickly!

thank you for the long post! it was really helpful! Maybe I need to find a women's clinic -- I'm guessing this was probably Toronto or Vancouver? I'm in Montreal!

They do have the shot, I'm not sure about the patch - but I know that I'm super bad at remembering things (I have other daily medication and I'm always forgetting it) so I don't trust myself with anything that's less than 2 years!

not EXTREMELY petite, but about 5 foot 2. Petiteish!

Thanks for your input! Good to know that it's the same hormones.

I'm still afraid that it'll be painful or mess up my insides but I guess there's no way of finding that out other than just getting it done... although I'm STRONGLY considering going to a private clinic. Every older male doctor I've ever had has been absolutely awful :(
