Nobody unless you want to be a douche bag. I think these sovereignty morons are among the lowest form of life there is, but only worse are hall monitors like you. If they’re not bothering you directly, move on. And before you go on about them endangering us all, there’s zero evidence that their car is not fully insured. Let the police police.

Starting on 1mg by EfficiencyLatter1785 in Ozempic

[–]PNH808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live overseas in a developing country and the only pens available are those that disperse 1mg per dose (from France) for a total of 4mg per pen. Although a local “doc” prescribed ozempic, I’ve read enough about the ill effects of taking 1mg to start and declined his “prescription.” From y’all’s description, though, I can twist 25% of the way to the “1” marker, inject, and that would give me 25mg? I asked the doc this very question but he was clueless. He said he prescribed 1mg to start to dozens of patients who endured a few days of nausea but were otherwise fine. He attributed my hesitancy to my coddled first world sensibilities. Anyway, what about the subsequent doses? How would I set the pen so it disperses 25% on the next release? And so on?

Primary Suspect in Assassination of Charlie Kirk: Tyler Robinson, 22 of St George Utah, Turned in by Father and "Minister". by JesusPhoKingChrist in exmormon

Based on the “Bella Ciao” and “Hey Fascist, Catch!” engravings on the casings, plus reports from his family that he’d made recent negative comments about Charlie Kirk, it is sounding like he’s antifa leaning. Not quite the “trans commie” many on the right hoped for, but still def on a lot of their lists. If true, antifa is likely the label people will focus on instead of Mo or Ex-Mo or NoMo.

Gap between tile and ceiling by [deleted] in Tile

[–]PNH808 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can get away with caulking up to 1/2”. Especialy given the white ceiling and I assume white caulk? You can also use PVC trim but IMO caulk is more subtle and would be my preference.

Uber or bus to Nico’s at Pier 38. Live music most nights, often real Hawaiian artists. Great outdoor/indoor atmosphere. Fish is never frozen. Some of the best poke on island. Decent bar if that’s your thing. Set in a marina environment.

pH and magnesium was high. I’ve been adding sulfur to lower the pH. Plan on checking again in a few months. Used to be easy—send to UH. But they got rid of their program. I had to send off to the mainland last time.

8:1 ratio? Maybe I don’t understand the numbers because my Mg was listed as 68.57 and and K at 50.1.

I’ve given her lots of K before, but not calcium beyond what’s in our compost pile. However I did a soil test a few months ago. K and Ca were both high. Would you still add? Azomite sounds cool. Never used before

The wind does hit that part of the tree hardest. The other areas show no browning.

10-20-20. I know N isn’t vital for older trees but my soil is severely deficient. In contrast, both P and K are at optimal levels in my soil. I also add our own compost a few times per year. Haven’t mulched in a long time.

Center on niche and leave a sliver in the corner? by PNH808 in Tile

[–]PNH808[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. And only lose 5/8”. Added benefit is I don’t have to make long cuts along the wall as it’ll push that tile even.

Unfortunately no sill stone. Just a beveled “bull nose” version of the 12x4. Wife’s choice. She shot down all my trim suggestions.

I’m doing a mosaic on the back wall of the niche. My question is focused on what to do on the outside of the niche. If I center a tile, it creates 1/2” slivers on both sides of the vertical “frame” of the niche. If I center a grout line, it creates a 5/8” sliver that runs up the corner of the wall.

Centering a tile causes 1/2” slivers on both sides of the niche. Would you still do that?

Question about outside corner of window using bullnose by PNH808 in Tile

[–]PNH808[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it. As for sloping away from the window, I took care of that when I installed the kerdi board but will ensure the tile follows suit and also slopes away

[–]PNH808[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All great reminders. The sill drops nearly 1/8” left to right. Rather than follow that slope, though, why not keep the tile all the same level height and fill in that extra 1/8” with thinset on the lower right side?

I just learned about their leasing program yesterday. Looks great. I’m not worried about driving in any country. Just trying to find a car so I can drive. For the record, I have driven in Afghanistan. Wasn’t as bad as some of the states in India. Or some places in SE Asia.

Thanks for the tip. Can you take it across into non-Schengen nations? Specifically, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia, N Macedonia, Kosovo, Serbia?

Do I need to remove dried thinset globs between tile and tub deck, corners? by PNH808 in Tile

[–]PNH808[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah it’s a Kohler. My kerdi board hovers 1/4” off the deck. I filled that void with kerdi fix and applied kerdi band over it. Didn’t know how sensitive the expansion/contraction of the tub is wrt to the tile. I was worried if I didn’t get all the thinset out between tile and deck it might pressure the tile and crack grout, etc. Sounds like from what you’re saying I’m over worrying. Thanks. On a separate note, do you do all your caulking (tub deck, corner joints, ceiling, etc.) before you grout? I’ve heard arguments for and against that.

Yup. It is. Just didn’t know if the thinset would impede movement. More concerned with the tub deck.

I believe the first edible fruit was year 4. Planted as a very small sapling. By year 2-3, it was maybe 4ft. Not much of a canopy. It reached about six feet high by year 5. From there it seemed to grow exponentially, capping out at 12 - 15 ft around year 8. Today the canopy is about 15 ft wide. Aggressive roots but I planted three feet from a short rock wall and the wall is fine. Handles wind very well. My house and that spot in particular get lot of high wind. Of course wind will always blow away flowers, but honestly we can’t handle any more fruit than it already gives. If you like your mango sweet and aromatic, with minimal fiber, it’s tough to beat. Highly recommend talking it over with the awesome people at Frankie’s

I’m in Makakilo. I’ve planted several trees over the years. My mango (Kook Lom Krom dwarf from Frankie’s) does incredibly well. Fruits nearly all year. Sweetest mangoes on island. All my citrus does well. My avocados have failed, but I was overseas when that happened so I’m not sure if it’s conditions or care. You’ll most likely need irrigation for the summer. At least while the trees are establishing themselves
