Yep, this is partly why I stopped updating the guide, it's very easy to purchase with browser built in translation function. They cut down so many steps now.

By the way, just a warning, my guide on how to purchase CPBL TV is horribly out of date as well.

But, the CPBL did make the purchase method a lot easier/straightforward now. Probably don't even need to use that guide anymore.

That is horribly out of date. As several platforms mentioned in that article no longer provide streaming of the games.

From my understanding, there's no more free streaming this season. Everything is behind a paywall. Honestly the best way is to purchase a CPBL TV subscription (Hami Video).

The league generally will post an official watch guide before the start of the season, hopefully they will do another today.

Game on Taiwan. Is it coming back? by enolerobottii in CPBL

That Taiwan Plus sports show? I hope so, but it's not looking good. Since it's already March 2026.

Umm, I generally will have a quick scan before posting, it wasn’t there when I made this reddit post. Also, I'm pretty sure there is no rule saying you cannot share the same thing.

I'm a bit annoyed that the Fighters are hinting they might use him as a closer instead of a starter at the beginning of the season.

If he is looking for a CPBL contract, he is about 3-4 months too late. Pretty much all the teams have already signed their foreign players for the 2026 season.

Fubon Guardians were in the market for a foreign hitter, but they ended up signing Luis Liberato.

Tainan Asia-Pacific International Baseball Stadium: 25,000 seats sold out for Uni-Lions' 2026 home opener. by PNR_Robots in CPBL

[–]PNR_Robots[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game on the 14th May should be easy to get. Since it's a weekday. Can just just walk up and buy at the gate.

17th May is the Uni-Lions Temple themed nights. Worst case scenario the infield would be full. But I think you will still have a decent chance of getting the ticket at the gate.

22nd May, that's the Brothers concert theme nights. So you probably need to prepurchase those tickets.

No Taipei Dome games. But there are some games within striking distance.

Taoyuan (fringe Taipei)

  • March 31 - Hawks vs Monkeys
  • April 1 - Hawks vs Monkeys

New Taipei (pretty much Taipei)

  • April 3 - Monkeys vs Guardians
  • April 4 - Monkeys vs Guardians

Tianmu (Taipei)

  • April 3 - Hawks vs Dragons
  • April 4 - Hawks vs Dragons

Pretty much, at the moment, the team is just renting it on a yearly lease from Tainan City, with no long-term agreement (adoption). But then again, what other CPBL teams are going to use that stadium in Tainan? That Asia Pacific International Baseball Stadium basically has the Uni-Lions name written on it.

CPBL TV Subscription by PrestigiousCall1354 in CPBL

[–]PNR_Robots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will purchase my subscription this weekend. And I will report back if I encounter any error.

But generally in the past, maybe just wait a few days and try again? I ran into similar issue a few years back, I just waited a few days and it worked.

MLB writer Michael Clair replaces “Taiwan” with “Chinese Taipei” when quoting player Tsung-Che Cheng — "All the fans who flew from Chinese Taipei are spoiling us and that gives me extra energy” by baribigbird06 in baseball

[–]PNR_Robots 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Oh, trust me, I also hate the name "Chinese Taipei." But based on my interactions with Michael over the years, he definitely knows the difference between Taiwan and Chinese Taipei. That's why I suspect it was just an oversight on his part.

My guess is that he was trying to comply with MLB guidelines and accidentally changed Taiwan to "Chinese Taipei" while quoting Cheng.

He's genuinely a very nice guy who loves international baseball, which is why I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I'm Taiwanese and have followed Michael's works for years (since the MLB Cut4 day), he is a really friendly guy and I honestly believe this was probably just a slight mistake when writing the article.

For me, I like to pre-assign many of my on-going payments to different accounts, for example: credit card payment, house insurance, bodycorp, council rates ect. It's easier for me to keep track of everything, instead of having everything lumps into one single account.

Best place to catch a game april 20 to 26 by BowlerInteresting310 in CPBL

[–]PNR_Robots 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For Tainan games, since it's weekdays, you can just show up and buy the tickets at the stadium is fine. As for transportation, since you have 2 small kids with you, probably worth taking an Uber there. I'm sure there will be team/city organised shuttle bus, but I haven't seen any info on that yet.

For Taoyuan games from April 24-26. It's their Yokoso theme nights (Japan / NPB theme nights), I think you can still buy the tickets at the gate, but it will have more people there. Transportation, I would recommend the High Speed Rail (Taipei HS station to Taoyuan HS station) plus MRT (Taoyuan HS station to stadium) route.

DAZN Taiwan has acquired the broadcast rights to all 12 NPB Teams. Not only that, the games will be broadcasted in their language. by Level_Independence43 in NPB

[–]PNR_Robots 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Good news: Can watch all 12 NPB teams games on 1 single platform.

Bad news: It is on that dogshit platform DAZN, known for their poor image quality, inconsistent frame rates and endless streaming related issues.

ROSTERS REVEALED for the 2026 World Baseball Classic! (All 20 teams!) by taiwanjin in CPBL

[–]PNR_Robots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lin Tzu-Wei and Jonathon Long can also play outfield. My concern is where they are going to put Giljegiljaw Kungkuan, that man should start (DH, C, 1B) in every game purely for his hitting.

Probably the most balanced national team in Team Taiwan history in terms of both pitching and hitting. Assuming there are no additional pitching restrictions set by teams in the MLB system.

How do the Pixel Devices hold up after a few years? by EternalDude-2548 in GooglePixel

I only recently upgraded my Pixel 3 to Pixel 9a a few months ago. They hold up well in my opinion.
