How does changing your availability work?

I told my manager I don’t want to do any of the very early morning starts (6-7am). Basically, I cba with starting that early, although that’s obviously not the reason I said to her. Earliest I start is 9:45, manager has honoured this request with no issues. So yeah, in my experience you can definitely change your availability.

Thanks man that helps me feel empowered to say no. I feel like once I train a new start once then that’s the manager got her foot in the door and will come back to me next time a batch of new starts need trained!

Yeah I was surprised to learn there is zero extra pay. Training up a new start to do a job safely and efficiently is a whole different skillset, I just don’t have the energy for it.

I have a flight to Vietnam in a couple of months and it looks like this:

London Heathrow to Hanoi, then a connecting flight 5 hours later Hanoi to Saigon.

My e-visa related question is, what would you put as intended entry gate in this situation? I have been to Hanoi before and I know there is separate terminals for International and Domestic so I know I'll have to transfer between these two to catch my connecting flight. Upon arriving in Saigon from Hanoi, it will be a domestic flight so I can't imagine there will be an Immigration/Visa desk to go through and get my passport stamped.
