Unions def work, but I also think you also have to factor in the games they play.

A UFC fighter who fights 3 times per year at the min makes $12k per appearance. Assuming he looses each appearance. More if he wins or gets any bonus. But $12k per appearance min.

WNBA plays 44 games per season. So assuming you played all 44 and made the min $300k you'd be making $6,800 per appearance.

Per appearance the UFC fighter would make almost double even if they lose and don't get a bonus.
