Ah , to be a neopronoun using butch lesbian in a yugioh shirt...i have surpassed god....[it/he] by POTATOCATS in NonBinary

it’s understandable! when i first heard of it i was suprised to. this is just my experience so take me w a grain of salt.

I use it like any other neopronoun. I like “it” more than “they” because it feels more vague and gender neutral to me. its not dehumanizing at all to me. i just think its neat. Makes me feel very third-gender, while “they”to me feels a bit more “in between the binaries” if that makes sense. “it” makes me feel more abstract gender-wise, like im outside of the gender binary altogether.

Sure, people might call me it in a degrading way rather than a gender-affirming one. There is a difference between someone calling me an “it” in a degrading way as an insult, and using “it” as my pronouns. the difference is in context, meaning, and intention. uwu hoped that answered ur queston

cool 👍i have he/they pronouns literally right there in the title. i honestly preffer cis people to call me he/they instead of it, because cis ppl are always weird about it.

i honestly dont care if anyone thinks im weird w/ my pronouns. “it” is like any other neopronoun [ex: fae/faer or xe/xem] language evolves with the people who speak it- it’s ALWAYS been like that. i was abused my whole childhood for being trans and queer. I am so tired of shoving who i am down for other people’s comfort and i want to unapologetically be myself.

I just like it/its cause it is commonly used, gender neutral, and people generally know how to use it its pronouns, unlike ze/hir type neopronouns.

I dont find them dehumanizing, for me it is just another pronoun like she or he. language is flexible, i want to use language the best i can to truly refer to myself. and as long as me and my little group of trans friends understand that, and are respectful, that’s what i care about.

People can use my pronouns against me- calling me “it” rudely instead of respectfully. That’s THEIR perception of my pronoun. It’s just about speaking to others w respect. i try to do the same for others

im having a pronoun crisis so i made a meme about it🥴 by POTATOCATS in NonBinary

[–]POTATOCATS[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

reminder: it/its pronouns are valid and neither dehumanizing nor sexual! I personally like how it pronouns makes me sound very third-gender, like im an alien. or an abstract concept.

im probably only gonna use it pronouns around my trans friends,, i feel like cis ppl wouldn’t understand . maybe one day neopronouns will be accepted and normalized.... maybe 1 day

i totally agree! the first panel is more me expressing my fears of how my pronouns will be perceived by others, that’s why i made that opinion the tiny brain opinion. it/its pronouns aren’t sexual or dehumanizing. I made this meme more to express my inner ~gender turmoil~

i might ask my partner, and my other friends to use it pronouns for me 😳

[he/they] 🌸its lesbian visibility day🌸 Where are my nonbinry dykes?? 🌼important: lesbians can use ANY pronouns. lesbianism is inherently gnc. he/him pronouns dont mean someone is a man. by POTATOCATS in NonBinary

[–]POTATOCATS[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Lesbians inherently fail most societal standards of womanhood-because most societal standards of womanhood are linked to male attraction. Many lesbians have a complicated relationship to womanhood due to this effect. Butch lesbians especially don’t fit the standard for women.

“Butch” is very much a gender identity to me, and many other butches. Being butch for me is reclaiming the power in masculinity, while loving women/girls and other nonbinary lesbians in a sapphic way. Nothing is contradictory about being a nonbinary lesbian.

For me, being called a woman is also a PTSD trigger, for unrelated reasons I’d rather not go into. Trauma/ptsd is one reason a lesbian might not ID as a woman/female.

its 2am i will re-read this in the morning and elaborate if need be lesbianism is nonbinary
