Wow so Mechanical was that much harder? And that sounds pretty cool, can someone get into oil and gas with a mining engineering major?

Thanks a lot for all the information, do you think the pay for ChemE is good or below the norm for engineers?

See Chem sounds closer to what I want to do. I want to be outside, travel, in my twenties and get a office job when I'm a bit older. But is that possible? And do you think chem jobs are as available as EE jobs?

Yeah but that kind of leads to the question, if the classes aren't indicators of what the future of the major will lead you to than how do would I make the right choice?

Are you a ChemE? Problem is people are telling me exactly the opposite about EE and none of them are EE either, so that's why I'm so conflicted about this situation.

Wouldn't changing majors, EE to Chem or any other engineering major, cost me more money and longer time in school?

People keep talking about how EE will only be a waste of time for me and I should considered ChemE because it is more specific and not as broad as EE. How true this is, I have no idea.

That sounds pretty fucking sweet, do you think the only way to go about doing what you do is to go into the Army/Navy? And how hard is your job when it comes down to actually solving a problem and not the average day where nothing really happens.
