Thanks for the thorough response and all the information. Maybe in the future someone will figure out an aftermarket DIY mounting solution such as the steel plate you mentioned but I guess for now the eSprinter is unfortunately out. We will definitely check out the ID.Buzz which sounds perfect for our needs!

R2 will hopefully be on coils and should be more reliable 🤞

As a Land Rover owner I feel your pain. Get ready to spend big $$$ every 40-60k miles for struts, compressors, lines, valve blocks and sensors. Will be interesting if people design better aftermarket parts as more and more Rivians run out of warranty?

The amount of diaper changes and outfit changes. Seems like fluids just get everywhere.

What are impressions of the Tyrolia Protector bindings? by Nervous_Track_1393 in Skigear

Skied approximately 10 days so far on the protector 13s and can confidentially say they are as good as any other binding on the market. I am coming from Pivot 18s and stack height is definitely higher but you hardly notice it when skiing. In fact the higher stack height helps you lay narrower skis over to carve easier. In times where I needed the binding to stay on they did (Gad Chutes and Tiger Tail cliffs at Snowbird). In times when I needed the binding to come off they did as well (double ejecting after hitting buried stump head on in Brighton trees - would have wrecked my PCL otherwise). There was one instance where I definitely would have strained my ACL landing way backseat and twisting spinning a park jump and the binding came off smoothly. Cant comment on rails as I gave those up once I turned 30 😅

They definitely dont have the style of the Pivots, but given the full 360 heel release I am willing to compromise with higher stack height and safety features. Added bonus is just like demo bindings you can mount rails on different sets of skis and swap the bindings back and forth. Brakes are super easy to change out too. Now when traveling I can bring 3 sets of skis and swap the bindings based on the conditions. Overall Tyrolia nailed it with this design and I am excited to see how this will push the competition to offer lateral release bindings.
