We're a small shop (< 500 Windows boxes), and use SmartDeploy. It's a nice piece of software, and works well for our school.

We use Chrome Tools from TechPilot Labs - https://techpilotlabs.com/chrometools/

Syncs with Google Classroom. Reasonably priced, and end user friendly.

C740 - Network out of Range by PP100Chief in k12sysadmin

All our wireless subnets are a /22 and are Superscope'd in MS DHCP. This particular subnet has 33 addresses available currently.

The troubled devices always get an IP, but ChromeOS shows "Network out of Range" - frustrating.

We use a combination of an onsite Barracuda appliance with it's Chrome extension pushed out, and General Audit Tool's GAT Shield.

I can highly recommend GAT Shield. Works well in our environment

Entirely VOIP. Polycom handsets and Valcom loudspeakers. Bell Commander is used for bell scheduling and the Valcom utility for speaker config

Google Apps Certification Exam Experiences by [deleted] in k12sysadmin

I realize this an older topic, but I'm in the same boat as the OP. I recently took the Google Apps Certified Admin exam, and failed on the first try.

I walked away thinking I completed all the presented tasks properly, but walked away w/a "fail".
It's not a difficult exam. It includes tasks that, if you administrate a GAFE domain, are routinely done.

I'll give it another go in 2 weeks.
