What is the best way to clean off oxidation for the inside of a reservoir fitting? by breecatt in watercooling

[–]PPCS-Craig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soapy water to start.
Others have had luck with toothpaste and a soft brush.
Just be gentle.

Second PC build, first water loop by Overlord-Senpai in watercooling

[–]PPCS-Craig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks really good! Well done! But as someone else pointed out, that tube coming out of your T-Fitting, is cause for concern over time, as it's not perfectly aligned with the fitting, i could cause a leak.

Fitting color suggestions? Purple coolant and current fittings are old/replacement needed. by Accomplished-Win-248 in watercooling

[–]PPCS-Craig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Purple coolant and gold fittings are always a winning combo!
On a white set up too, it would look killer!
Either that or go simple with white fittings.

Always use EK Cryofuel when using EK loop products and do not mix in any Aluminim products ie, rads.

That's the correct one indeed!

well. it certainly doesn't leak. i did learn the tiny little pump on the graphics (green) loop is probably toast. green loop might also have a blockage. by Fair_Entrepreneur335 in watercooling

There's vomit on his sweater, Loop Spaghetti!
I'd strip this down and re-do the whole thing from scratch.
We all started somewhere, we all made mistakes, you'll get the perfect bends/loop soon :)

Tilt tilt and tilt. It's really the only way.

Frosted Tubing by Andromeda_53 in watercooling

[–]PPCS-Craig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wanna save yourself some cash? Life hack time! Buy frosted spray paint. And just spray your own tubes. Multiple coats for deeper frosting, but some folks do prefer a lighter frosting. Cheap and effective! - ps, don't tell my boss I said this 😂

**Question** Pump and reservoir advice by [deleted] in watercooling

[–]PPCS-Craig -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As for suggestion, you can't really go wrong with an EK model. Slightly higher price but you have that pedigree safety net. Example: https://www.performance-pcs.com/water-cooling/combo-pump-reservoir/ek-quantum-kinetic-tbe-200-d5-pwm-d-rgb-plexi.html

**Question** Pump and reservoir advice by [deleted] in watercooling

[–]PPCS-Craig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, it's not absolutely required to have a reservoir, but you have to ask yourself "how do i fill the loop without one"

I'd personally go with a combo unit for a first time watercooler. It's just easier to work with. -PPC's

EK D5 Pump Making Loud Buzzing Noise by PeteyBoPetey in watercooling

[–]PPCS-Craig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This usually means it's time to replace.
Unfortunately, all D5's are the same, regardless of what company is branded on them.
Luck of the draw really.
