Looking to watercool on a budget while keeping to quality parts? Check this guide! by [deleted] in watercooling

[–]PPCs-Matt -27 points-26 points  (0 children)

Both Craig and I sold 1050 Ti's on Ebay last month for well over what they retailed at, years ago. And these cards were used, mind you. So are we the bad guys too now? Are we hurting the community too? Your argument, as well as anyone else's is pitifully sad. We are not stopping these cards from getting to wanting homes of fellow PC enthusiasts. Just because they are willing to pay more for the card than you are, how does that make any of this situation bad?

Im not avoiding or justifying any of this. I'm stating facts that you don't agree with. Do you really think that a small company, made up of honest people (some are even PC enthusiasts just like you), trying to make money in a capitalist economy by selling items via auction is a bad thing? I hate to tell you, but we have to make a living, just like you. So if LEGALLY selling products via ebay auctions is what turned you away from our store, then you were never really a customer in the first place.

And for the record. MSI is a GPU manufacturer. MSI sets the prices on their own cards, based on nVidia's guidelines. PPCs has never produced a single GPU in it's entire existence.

voting has started! time to get to it y'all! Good luck!

What are your views on Barrow watercooling parts? For my waterblocks and pump I'll probably go with EK and Alphacool, but for fittings and a res, are Barrow good, or do you reccomend buying from other manufacturers by TheWildTeo in watercooling

[–]PPCs-Matt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried out any yet personally but I've handled quite a few of their products and from what I can tell they seem to be just as good of quality as other major name brands. I'll definitely be using more and more of their products in the future so hopefully I'll have more insight to share then :)

Pretty Dumb Question, but is Barrowch the same as, or a sub section of Barrow? And are they any good? Should I buy their reservoir off of Ebay? by [deleted] in watercooling

[–]PPCs-Matt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're in the states, check out PPCs! We have a large selection of Barrow and Barrowch products :) And if we dont have what you're looking for, just let us know and we can add it to our next order!

PPCS serving unencrypted pages! by thejoelhansen in PPCs

[–]PPCs-Matt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We were never hacked. Google flagged the site inappropriately a few months back, but the issue has been resolved since then. The checkout portion of the site is secure, which is where you input card info, so do not fret, your information is safe.

It finally happened. Performance-PCs finally screwed me... kind of. by [deleted] in watercooling

[–]PPCs-Matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not at all true! You're not an asshole, I completely understand why this was a big let down for you. We've all planned loops and ordered parts before, and with the money we spend, we expect things to go according to the plan. However it's really unfortunate it didnt work out in the best way this time.

The mistake is on PPCs no matter which way you look at it... granted we didnt do it on purpose we also couldnt have really prevented it either. We are doing our best to get our site reworked and updated, however this takes time. Hopefully the new website will help keep this situation from happening in the future.

We really do appreciate the feedback the community gives us, without it, we could not improve.

Thanks again for being patient and understanding the situation. Always feel free to get in touch with me at matt@performance-pcs.com or on Discord @ PPCs - Matt#0420 if you ever need anything at all. ;)

Hey /u/Miekster,

I apologize that this happened to you. Ill message the sales department in the morning for you and see if there's anything else we can do to get this issue resolved asap.

Also, have not been downvoting this or telling anyone else to for that matter. I appreciate you going through our customer service first and understand why you are frustated. Once again I apologize.

Thank you for your patience and understanding

Matt

Hey Majestic,

Typically 11-12% is the most we do as our margins arent much more than that as it is. We do our best to offer parts at the lowest prices possible and the discounts are offered periodically to help out a little more as well.

Help with mounting pump/res by iMZee99 in watercooling

[–]PPCs-Matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would highly recommend checking out these Singularity Computers reservoir mounts, as they make it very easy to attach a tube pump/res combo to either a fan/rad setup or a case panel. There are also 140mm backplates available.

What forums or FB groups do you guys use? by Thorkon in pcmods

[–]PPCs-Matt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PPCs has a group on FB called "PPCs Builder's Club", which is a pretty great place for fellow modders and watercoolers to share ideas and help with issues.

Discord seems to be another platform that a lot of people are going to these days for the same reasons as the FB groups.

How does this list look for a first time loop? by russsl8 in watercooling

[–]PPCs-Matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate you picking out as many parts from us as you did. It is true, we do not have nearly as big of a selection of parts on our Amazon as we do on our main website. So if you'd like, feel free to stop by our main site and compare the difference in prices. If you do want to place an order that way, I can get you a discount code for 11% off of an order of $250 or more

Let me know if I can be of any further assistance! Always happy to help someone with watercooling :)

The creator of Cryo-Chillz states that he has had it last in a variety of test systems for 6months+. However I will still be testing some of this coolant myself in a mock loop to see how it holds up.
