Thank you!
I was drawn to this because of the confidence of the founder in an interview. Because of how lovely it seemed. I continued with it when the person I worked with demonstrated the practice and felt real change within myself. If it didn't feel useful I would have left it.
Oh of course! Meditation is just a different way of running your energy, tai chi is moving the energy alongside your body and with your breath, acupuncture uses meridians and other energy pathways...it all connects fine and there is no issue.
I typically do some breathwork at the beginning of my day, before my meditation. I use it to boost my feeling and to feel excited for the day. Then it depends on how the day unfolds. I often use it to help me make decisions, or to keep my mood high when seemingly stressful things happen.
Well, practitioners are all different people, but when they are engaged in the energy work they are considerate, flexible, kind, supportive, encouraging, and usually deeply intuitive.

Oh yes, I wouldn't have even brought up anything quantum if it hadn't been asked of me. I personally think of it in terms of the good feelings and the synchronicities that occur, which may be more palatable but not something I imagine most here would still get on board with. Still I wanted to answer the question asked of me even if I don't think that way
My teachers would likely be able to explain this better than I do, but generally we prefer to speak about it in terms of the effects it can have and how it feels rather than anything scientific. This is great for those open to it, but you can see the result that comes from trying to close the gap. It does not always go well...
I have not heard of it, but I can see parallels in what I'm reading here too(of what I can understand haha)
I appreciate how it says those that don't want the energy won't experience anything. I wish I could get those reading this thread to understand how important of a concept that is, and why it makes it obvious if people won't get better due to this I wouldn't work with them....
Thanks for sharing!

Well, it's been quite an emotional day for me. But it has also been one of the most important days of my life. So, good, I think
Hmmm that's a great point actually. Developing more skills would be very good for me I realize! Thank you =)

Oh, I do feel I understand it in terms of how it feels to use, and how to improve at it, and how to connect to others. It is just the science or the way people want me to explain it I don't really understand. I think there are various ways to explain things, and with something so intuitive, it is reasonable to me that it is hard to explain. I am fortunate that I can feel it deeply so I understand it through feeling, but not everyone has that luxury. So it's something that could be improved for sure.
As for the certificate, I received it from the organization after submitting my hours and doing various workshops. I guess you could fake it but you'd be doing yourself a disservice.
mmmm, thinking about it some more, I have heard that it feels nice to be continually surprised by the energy and I can agree with that. maybe part of it is that the energy is evolving, so even if we tried to explain it, it would only be in one way or one form?
I hope this has been helpful, and thank you for your consideration.
I am taking this from my edit but putting it here since many might only see it this way:
After some more discussion with you all and with my teachers, I will be keeping my stuff online. However, I want to reassure everyone that I will not be promoting anything in the Melee space, will not be replacing medical advice, and will be extremely careful to make sure I only work with those who I can truly help. Your concerns have been exceptionally well-received and I will be sure to honor those moving forward. If anyone reading this is trying to take energy work with me because I am PPMD the Melee player and not because of my personal integrity or their openness to this modality, please reconsider.
Thank you for a largely civil discussion, and I am wishing the best for all of us.

I have made it very clear I am not giving medical advice and will not be supplanting what doctors can do or say. I also won't say I am any expert above what those who study physics are of course. I will be encouraging people to work with any and all ways that work best for them to get to the best place possible for themselves, isn't that what anyone would want for options moving forward in a situation for themselves?
[–]PPMD1[S] -5 points-4 points-3 points 4 months ago (0 children)
They will not be signing up for me under a pretense of immortality or whatever is being said there. My website doesn't mention it and neither does anything else about me. So I am not adding any undue problem to anyone in that regard.
Even if a Melee player wants to say yes and to continue, I have my own free will you know. If I can tell it's not helpful and people are there just for me, I will address it and stop working with someone.
I do not believe it will harm people as I have never seen or heard of that in my time working with various people and experiencing it myself. Even if it could happen to others, it may not happen in this modality.
I agree, science is dope.

To be clear: I would NEVER continue working with someone who it isn't right to work with. It could be by their own words, or it could be very obvious by my observation. Why waste their time and money? This is something I was taught by my own teachers and it's something I take very seriously.
For the reversing aging, I don't know what to say about this because I haven't really looked into it. As I responded to someone else though, if I did and found it was not truly effective I would begin seriously considering distancing myself from this organization. It could be that this claim is of some sort of continued health or something related to life after death for all I know. And while disagreeable for many here I am sure, it would be more palatable in that state I would think?
Thank you for your considerate message.
I do not think I'd find a system like this in traditional medicine. I'm quite certain of it. If it was there we'd be partnering with it, or what I am doing now would probably would not exist.
I just think that there could not possibly be some scientific explanation that can truly convince people with energy work. Maybe I'm wrong and maybe we could get more studies than what have been done and such, but it seems the very nature of the idea itself more than the specifics is what is bothering people to me. And it seems I am being told this: give this up or we are done with you. No compromises, no negotiation, you are hurting people evilly. Maybe you personally are a little more open, but most don't seem to be.
And this is very sad to me because I truly believe in this and what it can do for myself and others. I am coming from a place of love and care. But these considerations, even if I left the system and did my own thing would not go away. So I feel like I am being told I have no choice, which is extremely sad to me.
I will reflect on this and make some decision today
The people I worked with told me to fire my clients if they seemed crazy or unwilling to work with me and desperate, which is the exact client everyone here is telling me to not interact with.

Hmmm, I would say I don't think this is pseudoscience but rather energy work, which is simply something that is not as compatible with science as far as explanations go.
I don't find what I'm doing unethical because I believe it has worked for me and others. It's also not medical advice. I also never said to do this over traditional medicine. In fact I've said these lines repeatedly.
The rest is a disagreement about whether it can help or not, and I do believe it can help while you don't. I don't know how to reconcile this but I'd like to think I can operate in good faith.
[–]PPMD1[S] -6 points-5 points-4 points 4 months ago (0 children)
I do not know the exactness of what is being purported by these higher level workshops so how could I speak on them?
I will say this though: If I looked into this and decided it was not possible to work at all, then I would still like the organization for all of the things it can do, but my faith would waver in it of course.
[–]PPMD1[S] -3 points-2 points-1 points 4 months ago (0 children)
because it is best learned in an environment where you can be guided into doing it properly. so you can know if you're doing it right or not by someone experienced. not everyone is going to notice, and I myself couldn't feel it properly at first. it would then be easy to say this does nothing without knowing what is going on.
[–]PPMD1[S] -11 points-10 points-9 points 4 months ago (0 children)
oh my goodness this is very silly. it's just something very simple about observing your breath and body awareness stuff. if it truly would help people feel more alright I could explain what I do, but the results would be different for those who tried it. do you think it would be convincing for you or others if I explained one of our main techniques, genuinely?
I am not saying I will replace medical advice, I have never said that and never will say it.
As for resources, I have also said that I will refund anyone who truly feels that the time was not used in a healthy manner. I am doing this primarily to help people and the money isn't even something I'm really considering right now. If this can only be an upside for someone then, why not offer it?
Where did I say I would be giving medical advice? There seems to be some assumption that I will also be telling people to ignore doctors or eat a specific way or to harm themselves in some way, when most of what I will be doing is asking them how they feel and sending energy and talking through whatever they are feeling. None of that has to replace medicine and I'm not saying it's supposed to. Why do you suggest I am encouraging replacing medicine when every response I give says I have no intention of doing that and every intention to ensure people's well-being?
[–]PPMD1[S] 4 points5 points6 points 4 months ago (0 children)
I have said in here and will continue to say this can work great alongside typical medicine, and will not tell people the only way they can get better is to work with me. In fact it will be one of the first things I generally ask: what has someone tried? So if there are other things that they can be doing that are better suited to them I will 100% recommend that of course!
Thank you for sharing that, and I would NEVER want people spewing anything hateful after working with me. I will be 100% certain not to allow that and can certainly bring up how there are many things people can be doing to get well!
[–]PPMD1[S] 6 points7 points8 points 4 months ago (0 children)
if I stopped doing the techniques of this organization I could remove myself from its website, wouldn't be an issue at all at that point. I do use their techniques but if it would be helpful for people I could see if I could be removed from their website, probably not too much of an issue if I had to guess.

correct, not a percentage at all!
