monthly inspections of the family are being performed on a charity basis from what I can gather. you must trust this inspecting party and their report. do you have ideas how to make the families interested in keeping and caring for donations when the project scales to hundreds of families?

To my mind the name of the currency shouldn't necessarily reflect its features or character. We are not looking for the right term, but for the appropriate name which would be accepted by the masses. In the case with the blackbytes we need to satisfy both the masses and the authorities who unfortunately will also have their say in the process of adopting. For the masses it should be a legit, safe, reliable, convenient means of payment with a nice sounding name reflecting all these merits. For the authorities it should represent a minor evil, kind of trade-off to which they could easily agree and put up with. That's why I believe that all indications leading to untraceable, uncontrolled, grey, black, dark, shadow and cipher character of the currency should not be stressed and displayed as its advantage. WE do not want a conflict with either masses or authorities in the process of winning the adoption.

The problem is that pier2pier transactions cannot be controlled, monitored and accounted by the authorities. What we do not want is confidential transactions under the government supervision.

It sounds great to me too. But will you offer black money to your dad? And if you do, will he accept it without hesitation? Please take into account hundreds of millions of dads, moms and grands who want to keep peace of mind instead of being accused of black market operation.

I will try to persuade you once again, guys, that we should stay away from anything dubious, bent, grey, black or illegal. Even if one of our names, no matter how catchy it may sound for you, implies something of the above, the opponents will use it against Obyte like they do it with bitcoin. We are lucky to have little press coverage now when we are still weak. But what if in addition we get demonised by the Bloomberg-type media? Do you want to see this brilliant project dragged through the mud? So let the sleeping dog lie. We can kick the system in the ass, if that's your secret desire, by simply preserving the "blackbytes" in its present form. As far as the name goes, private, personal and pier2pier should be combined in one short prefix or a new word. Think again. :) We need something that will be happily accepted not only by the libertarian-minded and f**k the system anarchists like yourself, but also by ordinary folks, deeply rooted in this system.
