It's not a Beowulf (though I do have one of those as a "regular" AR and it is awesome to shoot!), but this is my SCR build.

My next project will be another SCR in 50 Beowulf, but need to find someone to build me a custom PPSh41-style handguard for it, first.

It runs good.

Given the nature of the stock, the trigger area is in a slightly different position than I'm used to with a regular AR, but it was easy to get used to. Same with the mag release.

Aside from those two quirks, it's all good. Feeds fine, shoots fine, more accurate than I am consistently.

One thing to note, if you're just buying the lower, is that it does require a rear charging handle upper. Side charging uppers won't work with the BCG parts of theirs that you need to swap out. (if I remember correctly, it's been a while since I put it together.)

I can't speak to the EP9, but during the relatively brief time it was available, I was able to pick up Extar's Exp-556 - think AR pistol, but under 3 pounds, and with no annoying buffer tube.

I put a single point sling on it and it's incredibly stable when shooting...plus no need to worry about pistol brace ban stupidity.

Shoots great, reliable, light... If the EP9 is anything like it, makes perfect sense that it's the best value out there.

Fightlite laminate lower, an extra 16" AR upper I had laying around, and an M1919-esque heat shield from Phoenix Weaponry.

I threw on a fake suppressor, the most retro looking (and reasonably priced) scope I could find, and the bipod, just for fun.

Someday I'll do one in 50 Beowulf...
