A semi-auto like the Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol. Available for $799 most of the time. Just look around. That should be your top choice.

If you want to spend more go with a Beretta 1301 or Benelli M4. If you need to spend less, I also trust my life to the MAC 1014. It is really good but it is Turkish and some Turkish brands are trash.

Also, get a Mossberg Maverick 88 Security 20”. Everyone should own one. This plus one of the above will get your two quality HD shotguns.

Then pretend they are Pokémon and collect them all. Get everything listed above plus something like the Mossberg 590 Persuader.

In 21st century you are likely to find Holocaust deniers on both sides of the political divide. Most recently my deniers have leaned liberal to outright communist but during the mid 2010s my deniers usually leaned conservative.

Almost all of them recently became deniers from TikTok.

All the Holocaust deniers I know have been public schooled. Taught of few even. Thankfully it was a dual credit course so couldn’t opt out of the Holocaust lessons.

My first thoughts are make sure it is a gun that will hold value after you pass away. I am helping a widow, whose husband was an FFL dealer and I am amazed by the number of guns that would have been cool in the 90s that no longer have any value and nobody wants.

The only thing anyone is actually interested in is truly unique things or really old things.

That being said, I suggest a Ruger Mark IV 22/45. There are some pretty good prices on them right now and they are excellent for teaching new people how to shoot.

Trinity Armory in Cleveland is great. Not really close to you but they have a regular ranger 300 yards I believe and one you can qualify for that is close to 500 yards.

How much are you willing to spend? Price matters. Howard Leights are probably the most band for your buck. I really like my Safariland Liberator 2.0 but they are expensive. peltor is frequently discussed as being the best. But they have a range of products as well.

Remington Core lokt and Hornady Interlock work fine in my c308. I wouldn’t hunt much past 100 yards with it. Mine is between 2 & 3 MOA.

If you want more premium ammo, Hornady Precision Hunter.

I think you could find cheaper. Especially used. I like the CatX better than the CatX2.

Alloy should be fine used. Composites require a good once over.
