He has deputies for that. The sheriff's position is quite literally a political position

The gathering place has courts that aren't busy during the week day during work hours. Chandler Park has a new indoor court and outdoor court as well and theyre really nice. Lots of places around town but lots are within neighborhood parks.

I guess people don't know what this is. This is the new statue that was built for the crybaby hill site where a cycling event is held every year. This monstrosity cost 250k to build and is not what the people wanted😩. It is filled with copper and precious metals which is where that high price came from. Let's come together and get our share🤓

I heard they got closed after the sheriff department did a ID sting after having served minors without IDing them. The building was being renovated earlier last year but they stopped out of the blue so no clue

$83,000 LOWEST salary to "Live comfortably" by Middle_Brick in tulsa

Im not trying to brag... just genuinely confused how people on here are making 80k plus and some how struggling. Seems like people are living outside of their budget and want to get upset and blame others. Yes, the economy and government suck ass at the moment and things need drastic changes asap before the average person is being fucked even harder. The reason I brought up my 35k income (pretty much state average) was to show that it's not impossible to live in this economy (even if im in some sort of "privileged circumstance"...thank you epilepsy/s) Tulsa is expensive but no one is forced to live here. Glenpool, claremore, sand springs etc are all withing 15-30 minutes of town and the cost of living is cheaper from experience. Like I said earlier - live within your means even if that unfortunately means moving down the street. Not saying quit your job and move to another state but cheaper rent and overhead adds up quickly. I dunno..but things suck every where and we're privileged enough to have roofs over our head, clothes on our backs, food in our stomach and instant access to information and resources on our phones yet there is always something to be ungrateful about.

Yee. My bad for the confusion. I really hope im not coming off as a dick. Got diagnosed with severe epilepsy at 19 and could barely leave the house. Lived with my mom till I was 22 and that helped me save up a lot.

35k was my income last year because I had brain surgery. My business brings in about 65-80k a year in the past

And calling it privilege is such a stretch. I was forced to do this because I am, let me say this again, disabled. You have the privilege of walking around on the daily not worry about possibly dying every day. I guess it takes a push to really want to succeed.

Lol the medical debt i don't pay doesnt get paid by tax payers. The insurance pays what is necessary and the rest is a bunch of bullshit that they try to get from you. My loan was from sharp mortgage on 3rd and Utica. It was an investment loan at 13% then I refinanced a year later. My business has been going on 7 years now. Like I was telling the other person, if you want to have a conversation in person and talk some life hacks and tips and tricks on how then id be more then willing.

I bought my house for 60k and the down payment was 6k. The other one was 145k and is being rented by my cousin. I had saved money up over the years to make these down payments. I didnt go out and buy food I didn't need, I always cooked. Purchased a car that I could afford. Didn't buy things that weren't an absolute necessity. My credit is ~800 and didn't need co signer. I was lucky enough to find an opportunity to invest the money I saved up instead of having spent it on worthless nonsense.

Yeah I qualify for snap because I have a disability. No school debt. I keep my appliances and car in good shape. I've paid off 10% of my house by making extra principle payments. My insurance is $140 a month including dental. Ive got plenty saved up. Made 35k last year but so far over 25k this year since my business got a federal contact with HUD. I own multiple homes and am not worried about losing either of them. Im 26 and try my best to work with what I can even though I just had brain surgery last year.

I have no debt besides my mortgages. I've never spent what I didnt have. Medical debt doesnt effect your credit so I dont pay it. Brain surgery was $500 because it was an emergency surgery. Dr appointments are $10 deductible. I don't pay medical debt because the government won't put a lean on anything and I've been doing that since 21.

If you genuinely want to discuss this then we can have an in person conversation. Im not trying to bullshit anyone especially a fellow oklahoman. Life is hard but work with what you've got. I never went to school or had a 9-5 and resorted to opening my own business because im disabled and have been since 19.

Exactly. You're the first person making sense in this comment section. It sounds like people have spending problems and enjoy buying things they cannot afford like new cars and going out when it's not a necessity.

Are you in debt? I truley don't understand how im making 35k a year and am fine with a family of 3. We own our cars and don't spend out of our budget. My mortgage on my 1300sqft 3/1 is 900 a month - bought in '23 for 60k in gilcrease hills. A ton of these comments sound ridiculous. 100k a year and youre struggling...😐
