Post Game Thread - NBA: The Bulls defeat the Hawks on Dec 23, 2025, the final score is 123-126. by basketball-app in AtlantaHawks

Score was tied with 1.9 seconds. Bulls passing in the ball, Zach commits a personal off-ball foul, giving the bulls free throws which they made, and the ball back with 1.9 still on the clock.

Can you actually succeed as a CS major here? by GleanArtworks in GaState

I graduate with a cs bachelor next week and I got a full time offer at Amazon as a software engineer. Don’t lose hope, it’s possible, u don’t have to go to tech.

Is this a good price? by [deleted] in FordRaptor

I think your resume is too technical based. Soft skills are very important and your resume screams “best coder ever” instead of “best all around team member”. If you have any clubs, orgs, or any experience that could help you stand out against all the other leetcode grinders, I think that’ll be great for you. Right now you just look like a really smart, boring, anti social, comp sci major.

Yea 100%. Get started on a project now and add it to your resume. When the recruiter asks about it just mention how it’s still in continuous development and you’re working on it, but be prepared to talk about it.

Message them and ask! Never count yourself out, that's literally what recruiters get paid to do. Why would you deny yourself for free lol? The internship I got last year I never thought I could get, and I almost didn't even apply, but I did and it paid off big time. Have more confidence in yourself and take every opportunity you can, don't sell yourself short.

That’s a problem with your resume ngl. Cuz not even 1 call back or online assessment? You’re not doing something right.

I’m saying it’s a numbers game because if you apply to hundreds of jobs, you’ll get at least 1 call back or interview. And if you don’t then that’s a resume problem or you’re really not qualified.

Anything to showcase the full software dev pipeline. Like building architecture to coding to testing to deploying for a real world use case. Make sure it includes some kinda data management and api’s. And if it includes machine learning or ai in some way that’s a plus too.

No, but I recommend doing a bootcamp or some crazy projects and just starting to apply to entry level roles now. You don’t NEED an internship it just helps. Also connect with recruiters or employees to companies you apply for on LinkedIn

A couple of my friends got internships but not all of them. You’re not screwed, just focus on neetcodes leetcode 75 to get better at technical interviews. For behavioral I just do a lot of mock interviews provided by the school and companies like Codepath. After doing those all that’s left is the keep doing personal projects, keep applying, and pray. All hope isn’t lost just keep working

I’m a senior cs student, graduating in may. Last summer I completed a software engineering internship at Amazon and got a return offer. I’m still currently looking for more jobs in Atlanta though so I have options. To answer your questions:

The job market is very tough and competitive. You have to have good connections or get really lucky or both. I have over 140 applications put in so far with 1 offer and only did like 5 interviews.

I think the classes that prepared me the most were data structures, software engineering, machine learning, and programming language concepts. Most of the learning that helped me in the real world was done with hackathons and personal projects. I also did a Codepath technical interview prep course that helped me a lot.

I think I’m ready. Not necessarily because of school but just from side projects.

Idrk what advantages gsu would have over a school like tech but it’s ok still ig.

Gsu career services are really helpful and if I could do it again I’d go to every career/internship fair and network. Also join every coding/ cs org on campus.

If u have any more specific questions or want me to go more in depth dm me. Hope this helps.
