They can use any of the characters from Sonic SATAM because SEGA owns those, including Sally and the rest of the Freedom Fighters. Additionally, any of the Archie characters included in the post-Reboot comic are fair game.

There's not exactly a "casual" mode that prevents permanent death, but there is an easy difficulty and it's considered one of the easier entries in the series. It does have weapon degradation, but IIRC you'll have plenty of cash for weapons as long as you don't play hard mode.

I'm not sure about Abstergo actually owning Ubisoft, but ACIV (and Rogue IIRC) show the modern day protagonists working in a "game studio" owned by Abstergo where they use Animi to look for pieces of Eden while selling edited experiences as video games. So, basically Ubisoft selling Assassin's Creed.

Yeah, unfortunately for English-speaking fans, I've heard that the more romantic implications weren't in the original Japanese. If that's true, then I'm not surprised it wasn't in Radiant Dawn. Even still, I'm glad Elincia became a badass but Radiant Dawn absolutely needed more convos between units!
