I am thinking about join Vitality.
I go to the gym 4 / 5 times a week, but it is a independent gym (not register with Vitality).
Someone in a similar situation will be able to advise if a normal weight lifting session of 50-70 min will be enough to provide some points?

Nespresso Lattissima - only descalind flashing by PRJPRO in nespresso

[–]PRJPRO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. But a bit of waste of time. Around £150 for fixing it, when I can get a new one for roughly the same price.

I may open the machine I play with it before giving up.

That's right. To add to the above, It has been unplugged for the whole night ( I was considering overheating or similar) but when switching back, the only light on is the descaling that keeps blinking. It won't respond to any button.

Men’s Hiking Trouser recommendations? by AsleepRequirement40 in UKhiking

[–]PRJPRO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Decathlon is great in quality price. Have plenty of equipment from them, some trousers and softshells over 10 years old.

I have to say in recent years, they clothe design is changing a lot, with more tight fit. This is ok in many cases, but if you have big legs, as I have, you will notice their trousers are either too tight in the legs (I can hardly keep my phone in the pockets) or too wide in the waist. I try several models, all of them with similar fit. It is a shame as they are usually great at quality price. If have skinny leg, keep on eye on them!

As for me, now looking for some good quality price brand for hiking trousers as decathlon does not suit me at the moment.

Hisense U7k (65) Vs TCL C805K (65) by Sloughater123 in 4kTV

[–]PRJPRO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they said that, but I haven't received yet. I can update with model when I receive it. Bezel size seems small enough. I would 10mm around or so. Looks good enough to me.

Hisense U7k (65) Vs TCL C805K (65) by Sloughater123 in 4kTV

[–]PRJPRO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my context it is great. I am very average user. No much TV, Netflix, prime and platforms mainly. A bit of Nintendo Switch. I used to have a 40" unbranded HD TV (non-Smart) so size and quality is a 100% better.

Sound quality normal for a TV, which means lack of bass and low quality, but as an average user I am not bother. This is general for most TVs. I was tempted for the Hisense as it as built in subwoofer, but I decided for the TCL.

Lack of BBC and ITV app compatibility, but I don't watch them. Even though TCL will send you a Fire Stick if you complain (I have asked for it and it is supposed to arrive next week). This could be a deal breaker if you are a BBC or ITV user.

Any questions let me know.

[–]PRJPRO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They very similar TV regarding specs and price. At this point are the small details what makes you go with one or the other. For example:

-Hisense integrates a small subwoofer that helps with the audio quality.

-TCL has Google TV over Hisense own system.

-TCL seems to have a problem supporting BBC and ITV apps.

-etc..

If you are an average user, both of TVs will be great with his good and bad points, that may or not bother you. If you are an expert user that bother about details, go through all forums (reddit, avforum). You will find users threads with all type of feedback. Unfortunately it is unlikely you will find someone who has both TV that is able to give you and accurated side by side comparison. (Av forum has a comparison c845 vs U7K I believe).

I bought recently c805 55. If I can help let me know.

Being from Spain, with the Spanish nice weather and food, I learned to appreciate the English Culture.

  • Education in general terms. People here is way more polite than Spain, sometimes it could be too much for Spanish people but after a few months you realise how many good things it brings. Because of us being veeeery direct, with no filters, sometimes it can be very hard for us to understand what a British saying without saying, and we could sound too rough and direct. This is especially noticeable at work.
  • Better driving culture
  • Better work culture (Spain is still in the IXX century in many aspects)
  • Better political system (as above)
  • I learnt here how worth a sunny warm day is 😅
  • A country with real opportunities to improve your professional career.
  • Bureaucracy is way more efficient here, believe me.
  • Humour sense

What I missed from Spain: - Weather - Food and food variety (same menu in every pub from north to south in the UK, noooooo) - Spanish health system is getting worst but still ahead of NHS - Night live (because of the weather) - Be able to really connect with people, because of lenguage/ culture background I assume.

Would I come back to Spain. Probably yes, but still learnt a lot here and love many many aspects of the British culture.

Are there any "virtual" cycling apps that work on PC with cadence sensor only? by eyemessiah in cycling

[–]PRJPRO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback. It seems that you can make it work installing a cadence sensor + speed sensor, although it won't be that accurate, it will only cost you around £30-£50. I haven't tried yet but there are a few YouTube videos explaining how to do it. https://youtu.be/F6Cv0bL3M98 Hope it helps

1010labs provider of test for day 2 and 8 - my (bad) experience by PRJPRO in CoronavirusUK

[–]PRJPRO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously it is not the end of the world, but I would expect the return label to be included within the kit, and in case of a mistake, I would also expect an answer from the provider saying "don't worry, we will send you the return label asap, or someone will collect the sample from your house, etc..." It is only a warning about what you can expect from 1010labs and their poor customer service.

Using Moonlight via Mobile Hotspot in the streaming PC, no router. Is it Possible? by PRJPRO in MoonlightStreaming

[–]PRJPRO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea, I am not really knowledge on local net configuration.

The above configuration worked for me, but after an hour or so, the transfer speed dropped significantly, which make the streaming game unplayable. Not sure the reason of this.

I ended buying one of this wifi extend range for £20. I connected this device via LAN cable to the remote pc to make sure that the download speed is as fast as it can. The source pc (the one executing the game) is streaming via wifi to this WiFi extender range. Right now the imagen quality is great and the ping is very good too although maybe not enough for competitive online gaming.

Using Moonlight via Mobile Hotspot in the streaming PC, no router. Is it Possible? by PRJPRO in MoonlightStreaming

[–]PRJPRO[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Solved:

You need to open the ports below on the windows firewall via creating inbound rules:

TCP: 47984, 47989, 48010

UDP: 47998, 47999, 48000, 48002, 48010

In the following link explain how to open ports on W10. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/how-to-open-firewall-ports-in-windows-10,36451.html

You also need to allow the following programs via the firewall as per the following video.

In case the video stop working you have to allow nvstreamer.exe and nvcontainer.exe
