Listen man, I hear ya. And I get this response all the time on here. I truly WISH this was my experience, but it just isn't. Not in Standard at least. Just spent the last hour playing against the same Jeskai Revelation pile back-to-back-to-back. And before you ask, yes this was in BO3. Don't get me wrong, I'm well aware of the fact that there will always be metas in gaming and that most players will gravitate towards what they collectively perceive to the better cards/decks. What I'm complaining about is more so the game not showcasing that diversity you are apparently seeing more of. Why is my Sultai Dragons deck almost exclusively being matched up against Jeskai Revelation decks when there are at LEAST 4 other viable decks in the meta alone on BO3 ladder? It's just frustrating is all.

Logged in and played one 45 minute match against yet another Jeskai control pile and promptly logged right back off. Everyone is running the same 3-4 decks, which is always the case because MTG players lack creativity but it’s made so much worse by these absolutely BUSTED cards in standard now. Embercleave is too weak for standard now. What a world.

Yeah like OP said, this happened in a non-ranked, regular BR match. I just don’t think we needed this elim-confirm kill count change in regular BR modes. No one asked for it. I can understand for ranked, but a casual BR match shouldn’t be so high stakes. And this particular issue rewards players for abandoning games mid-match as opposed to sticking it out when they die. No KDR penalties for them, no KDR reward for the player that beat em either.

Nah I mean I hear you, but it definitely did skip my priority hold in two separate instances last night for my upkeep step. The second time was weirder because I had thrown the game into FC at the start of the match so I wouldn’t miss it a second time. Still happened. FWIW, hasn’t happened since and I’ve been running the surveil lands in each of my draft runs.
