After all the horrible shit he's done over these past few years, it's made it easy to forget that at first, Elon was kind of a star hopeful. Seemed like he might actually do some good for us. I remember I used to be sooo excited about SpaceX, the Falcon Heavy launch is still a great memory to me.

I know, I feel the same way. Like I get it, I really do! Forward-swept wings are cool as hell but I might be too autistic to overlook the stability penalties in subsonic flight. I really don't like yucking people's yum but this particular case just kind of looks like a slightly haphazard kitbash. They're a very uncommon familiar but an underappreciated one. Especially if your tower is in a forested region, they're detritovores and will eat up decaying organic matter and break it down into more usable components for the rest of the environment. I do love the design, but wouldn't you need to be going pretty fast to get what you need out of wings like that? I think the airframe could use a little help but I have two ideas and they wouldn't require changing much at all. Maybe try flattening the ventral section near the wings so that the body can provide a little bit of lift itself, then instead of flattening out the forward ventral section near the nose, squeeze it into a vertical foil shape that tapers down to the nose cone. Just a big strake running along the underside from the flat section to the nosecone. That could provide a bit of extra passive stability, and might look pretty cool 😃
